Thomas managed to catch what he'd thought was a simple cold, only to quickly develop fatigue and a fever. He tried to sit and watch tv to feel better, but Logan had insisted that he take some fever reducers, drink a full glass of water, and then head off to bed. The other sides had claimed Logan was being too strict and that he should just let Thomas relax, but after enough time listening to his sides arguing with each other, Thomas eventually went upstairs to go sleep anyway.
And that was when Logan started acting a bit…off.

The Wild and the Apotheosis are two of the strongest vessels, they can break the construct. When the Shifting Mound is a bit late on retrieving her gift of a Tender Heart, the Nightmare grows to receive this strength, too.
But all she knows is how to hurt…
And so she does. She breaks the Long Quiet. Not mentally, or spiritually, or even just his will. She breaks him in a terrible, pragmatic way.
Like the Sleeping Mound, they can hope to rebuild him from the Paranoid voice that survives. Together, the Paranoid and the Nightmare must bring Voices to the Long Quiet, and Vessels to the Shifting Mound.
Hilarity ensues.

And god, did the last few years feel like a nightmare. A horrible, never-ending nightmare that twisted into shapes Jon never thought possible and took more from him than he knew he had to take.

After the conclusion of the Watcher's Crown, Jon finds himself waking up in a much younger version of his own body, one that's still working with Tim and Sasha in research. Jon refuses to let this opportunity pass him by, refuses to let this world fall to the same fate as his. He'll do it better this time. He'll save everyone, no matter the cost.

Beneath his skin, something was boiling. Fingernails clung tightly to his outer shell— forearms, nape, scalp. The sensations bubbled and coiled, moving through his veins like viscous lava. They crackled, they popped, they simmered, and when he released a shaky breath, he swore he smelled smoke. When his eyelids grated, he felt granules of ash burn his eyes and cheeks. He rubbed his face furiously, wiping the sulfuric powder on his itching forearms.
It would’ve been easier to lie to himself and claim that his predicament was caused by an awfully-timed sink out. After all, dematerializing beheld a similar sense of static. But after rematerializing in his room, the sensations continued to pinprick, and he couldn’t bother with his usual routine of denial.
A volcano was brewing, and Logan did not know how far down the magma was. It was just spilling, and spilling, and spilling—
Or, Logan is a volcano, there is a significant increase in pressure, and he is about to explode.

Logan breathed in and out. He stared knowingly at the darkness and abyss, his feet still in the elevator, his body waiting in anticipation. He's nervous, yet he's done this before, so why is he so scared? His chaotic thoughts occupied his mind, his body not moving an inch off the elevator. The very surroundings he was in felt like it was consuming him, the darkness almost pulling him for an embrace. 'I need to do this,' he encouraged himself, knowing full well he needed what, or accurately, who was on the other side. Opening the flashlight, he indulged himself to the darkness, while orange eyes pierced through his presence.
