Summary
“Baby Bird?” Jason’s voice shifted, softened into something almost fragile, as if he were speaking to a child. Maybe, in his eyes, Tim was exactly that. The familiar nickname—so wrong, so tender—sent a tremor down Tim’s spine. Jason never called him that. Jason never spoke to him with warmth.
Jason hated Tim.
He shut his eyes tight, praying this was just a cruel dream. But then warm hands cupped his face, grounding him. A metallic clatter echoed through the cave, sharp and final. The gun had hit the floor.
“No, no, no—don’t close those blue eyes, Baby Bird. Look at me,” this time Jason’s voice cracked into a plea. Every word trembled with fear, with a need that made Tim’s chest tighten painfully. Tim bit down on a sob, the taste of salt and blood filling his mouth, forcing himself to lift his gaze and meet the toxic green fire of Jason’s eyes once more. He could feel the tremor in Jason’s hands, the way his knees pressed into the cold floor, and it made his own body ache with tension.

Summary
Tim closes his eyes, calculating. Based on the energy involved for a one week reset, he’s looking at a minimum displacement of about five years for the copy. His eyes sting as he fully grasps that if this works, one Tim will get to reunite with his friends and family, hold them and speak to them again, and work together to unleash all the contingencies and strategies he’s come up with to kick those invading alien assholes the fuck out, and the other Tim, the copy… won’t. He’ll wake up somewhen, isolated and traumatized, without friends, family, or any allies at all.
Well, shit. Whatever, at least Other Tim will know it worked. And he’s never minded the idea of sacrificing himself to save others. He confirms the calibration of the device, and pushes the big red button. Of fucking course there’s a big red button, supervillains are so predictable.
His last thought as the lights explode in his head and he tastes color is I hope computers are a thing whenever Other Tim lands. I’d hate to be put on trial for witchcraft. Fuck it, if I overshoot I’m gonna ride a goddamn dinosaur. Hell. Yes.

Tim flinches with his whole body.
Red Hood watches him from the landing above, he discovers upon tilting his head up. The thought wanders through his swimming head that it isn't fair how quietly the man moves. Jason must outweigh Tim by an infuriating margin, and he hadn't heard the rusted metal groan even once.
"Hood," he says. It slurs past his fangs and a tingling mouthful of venom. The scent of human is filtering down to him in the wake of old cigarettes. Warm, mouth-watering, an edge of musk that tightens his gut.
"This is, no shit, the sixth time I've caught you out here," says Red Hood.

Summary
Dick Grayson doesn't really consider himself an at-risk youth, even if he doesn't always know where he's going to spend the night.
After a string of bad luck, he meets Roy Harper. Roy introduces him to Oliver, the owner of Queen's Kickboxing & Self-Defense, a gym where "at-risk youths" can go for mentorship, support, exercise, and a "hot shower whenever they need it, no questions asked."
It's a pretty good deal, but not enough to tie him down, until he meets one of the volunteer coaches and his itchy feet are suddenly rooted to the spot. Bruce Wayne is in his late forties, with silvering hair and huge, huge biceps. He's the perfect mark, because he's recently divorced, clearly depressed, and so fucking rich. Dick wants him to take his virginity so bad it hurts.
He's close to losing hope that he'll get the chance to make a move, but then, Oliver convinces Bruce to host an Independence Day barbecue at his house. Dick is certain he can seal the deal before the night is over... he has to, or he'll be couch-surfing for the rest of the summer.
