The hunter froze in his tracks, holding his breath to silence his surroundings as much as possible so he could hear the enderman as clearly as possible when it warbled. He's been low on pearls lately, so he needed to be on high alert and make sure not to screw this up.

Dream immediately snapped his head up at the passive and familiar noise of an endermen. What he saw made his eyes widen in surprise and he took a step back.
"Ranboo?!" Dream exclaimed in shock and confusion, a little louder than he meant to.

So what if he wasn't feeling great? So what if being stuck inside a ravine almost 24/7 made him lose track of the days? Techno made practically all of their food and was almost never in Pogtopia anyways, Wilbur did so much for them and recently he's been so on edge that Tommy's nervous to mention it, Tubbo's had a pretty stressful week with the festival, and Quackity was his enemy less than 72 hours ago. So he sucked it up and dealt with it himself, like the big man he is.
Only it's a little hard to "suck up" being severely sickor
Tommy's sick and everyone's too busy to notice until it's almost too late.

He felt like he was nine again, and he had fallen out of the tallest tree on their lot and broken his leg, and Techno was there, as if he had teleported to his side, consoling him as he desperately clutched his velvety cloak in his tiny, grimy hands and sobbing 'Tech it hurts,' over and over again like the litany would make it hurt less.

Tommy stumbled through the snow, ears ringing and body aching. He hadn't expected Dream to be that mad. He definitely wasn't expecting Dream to blow everything up. Right now all he expected and wanted to do was go steal all of his older brother's shit and maybe find a way to get back home along the way.
What he didn't expect was to wake up frozen in the tundra without his hearing. What Techno didn't expect was to suddenly be dealing with his deaf younger brother who refused to tell him anything about what happened to him.

He flinched back, a shout caught in his throat as he began coughing hard. Techno cursed and helped Tommy sit up, a warm hand steady on his back as he attempted to cough his lungs out. As he finished coughing, he looked over at his brother, eyes clearly filled with confusion but also guilt and fear, “Tech? Why am I here?”
Techno pursed his lips, “You were out in the snow, Tommy. I thought you were dead.”
He looked down, “Sorry.”

Summary
Techno always knew he had been different from the creatures around him. He was an outcast, not particularly accepted by anyone. He was no blaze, no wither skeleton, no strider, no hoglin, no Piglin.
He’d been alone as long as he could remember. Left, abandoned near a Nether Fortress for the wither skeletons to kill him. Somehow, he managed to survive. He didn’t know how, but that was behind him now. Techno never stayed in one place for a home, he was always moving around so he wouldn’t be kicked out or killed.
He had learned how to fend for himself. The Nether was a harsh place, the creatures living there even more harsh.
Traveling into the Overworld, he learns new things. About himself, and about the people before him.
