Summary
After spending the better part of a thousand years as a professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Merlin had given up hope that he would ever see Arthur again. Then Christmas 1993 happened and Sybil Trelawney wheezed out a prophecy about the return of the Once and Future King.
As ecstatic as Merlin is about the news, he wishes it wasn't because they were slowly approaching the end of all times, with magic itself beginning to fade from the land. Merlin also wishes Sybil had warned him how much more of a brat Arthur would be as a modern teenager, especially because this incarnation of him - terrifyingly - seems to have magic, too.
Somewhere in the Forbidden Forest, Merlin can hear Kilgharrah laughing at him.
Featuring nosy portraits with too much time on their hands, reincarnated knights with a penchant for Quidditch and such a supreme amount of Pendragon prattishness that it is practically a character on its own.

Summary
Merlin is a transfer student in his new university, and so far, he is making great friends with a circle of people; the only one who seems to have any issue with him is a young man named Arthur. Forced to be chemistry partners by Arthur's sister and fellow classmate, Morgana, Arthur and Merlin find themselves constantly brought together by their mutual friends. The result of such bonding, remains to be seen.
Arthur comes from a broken and emotionally abusive home, but he ultimately finds solace in the annoyingly optimistic and artistic Merlin, whose reasons for transferring schools are shrouded in mystery.

What he finally got was, “Fight me.”
Arthur was hard-pressed not to laugh out loud. Merlin looked so determined, his chin up and eyes narrowed, but he was obviously still high as balls.
