Nothing.
“Draco,” he tried again, a little louder now. Still no response.
“…Baby.”
This time, Draco let out a low, deep groan and stirred, lifting his head to glance at Harry through bleary eyes. Harry couldn’t stop the soft scoff that slipped past his lips.
“Now you hear me?”
“You never call me baby,” Draco said, his voice thick with sleep.
Harry’s chest tightened at the sound — not because of what he said, but because of the unreadable tone behind it. Indifference? Curiosity? Hope?
“I didn’t think you’d care,” Harry answered quietly, trying to play it off.
He waited, half-expecting Draco to roll away. To shrug it off. To remind him none of this was real.
But instead, he leaned in.
A shiver ran down Harry’s spine as Draco’s lips found his neck, pressing slow, lingering kisses up to his shoulder and finally to his cheek. His arms tightened around Harry like he never wanted to let go.
“I do care,” he murmured.

Summary
It starts with a curse. When people begin losing their minds without explanation, Harry is asked for help by none other than Draco Malfoy. Which is fine. Totally fine. Except for the fact that the case gets darker, the danger grows, and Harry might be developing an unhealthy obsession with Malfoy’s stupidly sharp cheekbones (which he didn't have before, god damn it, Hermione!). But that's probably not relevant. Probably.

Losing his adoptive parents was the last straw. Harry needed to get away, so he packed up his things and left for America. He travelled out to Glencour Park and Camp Grounds, a magical forest that housed all sorts of creatures, including a Horned Serpent Sanctuary. He heard this place had a problem with missing campers and occasional fiendfyre, not to mention the Muggle forest fires that threatened the land.
He hadn't even been there one day when odd things started happening: classical music coming from the radio that no one else could hear, creepy sounds near his tower that he couldn't explain, random cold spots in the woods, and the feeling of being watched all the time. This was going to be a long Fire Season.
