cockroach) Ilya gets shot and dies but they resurrect him. Shane struggles to cope with life.
rearrange) first married Valentine’s Day is spent apart (Shane got injured and goes to do foundation stuff) but Shane makes sure Ilya feels loved. Short and sweet with yearning.
share) possibly same timeframe as 2, Ilya decides he wants to pay the RPF people back and give them content. He posts pictures of him and various people and later confesses to Shane why it mattered to him. Sweet and funny.
don't know) Hayden thinks Shane is cheating and tells Ilya and then confronts Shane. Turns out Shane was just learning to pole dance to surprise Ilya for his birthday.
pelmeni) ilyas favorite Russian spot in Ottawa is going to close. Shane buys it. Really sweet and cute and funny.
pancake) Ilya has a dream Shane asks for a divorce z he knows it’s not true but still spirals and tries to be a better husband. Shane catches on and they reaffirm their relationship. Cute with some internal angst.

safety) Ilya hates being told he's a safe person to be around but he is so good at making people feel safe. Fortunately Shane is able to help him feel safe too
sniff) Shane has a sensitive nose. Ilya wants to make sure Shane smells him (and not product). Flirty and fun
fire) Shane finally feels angry after years of pushing it away. After snapping at Yuna and David and punching Comeau, Ilya gets him boxing in the gym to work it out.

Shane stares blankly. For long enough, that Ilya continues, “Does it feel good? Do you enjoy it?”
“Obviously,” Shane says, so earnestly confused that Ilya instantly does believe that he’s telling the truth. Which only further irritates Ilya.
He runs his hand over his face. “So you are really just silent during sex? Even if you like it, you are silent?” he asks, his voice coming out a little sharper than intended. Shane goes very still at the question as Ilya continues, “No— no nothing? No moaning, no whining. Your breathing barely changes. I do not… I do not understand.”
- or, Shane's ex made him feel insecure about how he sounds during sex, and Ilya just will not allow that

A nonlinear look at how Shane came to sign with Ottawa and surprise Ilya. A parallel look at how Ilya joined the centaurs and introduced them to Shane (Cliff and Nick and Cassie are connecting some dots). A look at how Shane (and Ilya and Sveta) make the centaurs the 2020 Stanley cup champions.7/2026 - this was lovely and delightful! I love how they choose each other each time and also how they’re able to prioritize hockey and their relationship.
