As they grow up, Diluc wonders why his father dotes on Kaeya, what it is about him that pacifies his rage, and how he can redeem himself to become worthy of such compassion. One night, after weathering two decades of his father's unrelenting wrath, Diluc returns home to find him dead in his living room, and embarks upon a journey of discovering the truth about his father, Kaeya, and himself, and how the two of them do not differ so much, after all.
A story of dark secrets, trauma, and learning how to love.

It was unfortunate for a boy of such a young age to be doing this sort of thing. To think that Kaeya was treated like that before he came to Mondstadt was horrifying. Crepus should've stopped him the moment he crept up into his bed that night.
But how could he deny Kaeya? It wasn't like he forced the boy.
