Summary
The Void had been still for an amount of time unthinkable, the being able to unite it fallen so long ago.
Its stillness breaks when a small shade rejects its call, refuses to merge with it and lay to rest, instead pushing its resolve onto the sea.
Fix it. Save them, it demands, and something answers.
Something stirs deep within; something meant to be forgotten awakens; something powerful beyond anything Hallownest has known in its entire existence heeds the call, throwing the vessel and itself both into a time long lost.
Mere weeks before the Sealing, a wounded vessel staggers out of the Temple.

Summary
"Narinder and his little neighbor lamb, Samael, were transported to another time, to a medieval age where a constant war rages between two cults.
But when Samael goes missing, Narinder will do whatever it takes to find him. He’s aided by that irritating lamb named Lambert, the loyal servant of that small god known as The One Who Waits.
But why does Narinder bear a striking resemblance to The One Who Waits?"

Summary
“What are you looking forward to the most?”, the sheep asked curiously, eyes near sparkling as they’d looked up at their God, smile nothing short of smitten.
“In regard to what, vessel?”, the black cat asked in turn, all three of his crimson eyes tracing the Lamb’s features lazily.
“Your freedom,”, they’d explained simply, stretching somewhat, “what’ll you do first?”
And that had been a surprisingly good question. What would he do upon his return to the mortal realm? What was the one thing he’d endlessly missed in this void of a domain he’d been stuck in?
Surprisingly, the answer came much easier than anticipated.
“I’ll bask in the sun,”, the God answered, closing his eyes as a smile split his face. It had been as though he could clearly picture the moment. “I’d lay in the grass until nightfall.”

Summary
When the lamb first dies, The One Who Waits is, admittedly, growing desperate.
Vengeance is a burning, hot feeling. It’s something that swells in his chest and makes him dizzy. It’s something he’s chased after since chains had latched onto his wrists and imprisoned him. It’s been his driving factor and motivation. His claws itch and burn with the need to do something. Old battles wounds still ache. He still remembers inflicting battle wounds. And they burn with desire. Desire so sharp that it stings.
And when the lamb first dies, it’s his last bet. His last card. He hopes it’s a good one.
(aka instead of Narinder just getting indoctrinated into the Cult, it goes a little differently)

Summary
(For real this time)
When you play CotL, it becomes pretty obvious early on that you aren't really playing the good guy. The idea first introduced is that you are getting revenge for your fallen kin and freeing the one who brought you back to life, but by the end you are just as cruel as the ones who killed you.
This is really good storytelling, and I love it a lot.
But~
What if the lamb was the good guy? What if there was more to the cruelty of the bishops than simple greed for devotion?
And as a great man once said, "Could be gayer."

Summary
“Actually I, ugh,”, Lambert dragged out the sentence, praying to whatever God had been listening that words of wisdom magically came out of their mouth. They’d looked to Goatfrey for help, yet all the goat did was shoot the young ram a shit-eating grin, “I’m dating someone already.”, he’d straight up lied.
“Oh.”, the rabbit sounded out dumbly, blinking in visible confusion.
“Yeah, sorry,”, they’d doubled down, trying to ignore Goatfrey near pissing himself a short distance away, “It’s kinda a new thing for the both of us.”, they’d explained, smiling weakly as to keep up their kind appearances.
“Who is it?”, she’d inevitably asked, making Lambert grimace.
Great.
“Oh you know, just, ugh-“, quick, say they’re from a different school or-, “Narinder?”, Lambert hated how their words were an audible question. The rabbit opposite the sheep blinked, soon furrowing her brows.
“The scary guy from our compulsory English class?”
“Yup,”, the young ram popped the ‘p’, resting a hand atop their hip, “what can I say, I love a good mystery.”, he smiled forcibly, the action genuine from the outside.
Internally, however, Lambert had been screaming in anguish.

Summary
They never meant to take the Crown—never thought they would survive challenging their god—yet here they are, Crown atop their head, fighting to keep the black cat in the healing bay from succumbing to his wounds.
However, not all wounds are visible, and as such, the treatment not entirely obvious. It's a challenge the Lamb accepts, despite knowing he would never do the same.

Never questioning the strange weight in their cloak or the eerie surge of power at their fingertips. And all the while, the shadow watches, waiting, instinct guiding it toward something long forgotten.

A Vessel is meant to be used for entertainment for the gods. It's not like a vessel is a necessity.
They're just a convenience, random followers found getting sacrificed. The gods play the part of mercy, and take the follower in as a vessel.
It's torture, and before long, the vessel cracks and breaks under the influence of the crown, swallowed up by the very vice they worshipped and served. And Lambert is just another victim.

Summary
Black bells, red candles, onyx statues, and red-robed superiors would be a tad strange were they not the only things that The Last had ever known. They were raised here after all. Well, that is if you consider being banned from touching a dependent past the tender age of three and half as raising a child at all.
Saved for the once thought forgotten God of death, the youngest and last of the consecrated lambs, struggles to obey the temples strict rules and understand the true meaning of their timed existence, featuring daydreams about horn sparring, the occasional fresh berries, and a very fluffy Subprior Forneus.

Summary
"Let your regrets vanish, Maple. For you did what you had to do to survive."
The lamb told again and again to the little yellow cat they had recently saved from the depths of Darkwood in their most recent expedition, saved from one of the last standing heretic camps of Darkwood the cat called Mapple was the only one able to escape after a fire started in the camp
The lamb has no time to deal with the cat's clear anxiety as they have to deal with disciplining the Bishop Family, their cult, and expanding their territory.
Let's just hope Mapple can tolerate farming with an ex-god of chaos as his co-worker and roommate...

Summary
If they had had the choice, they might have liked to be born a normal sheep. Instead, they were the Lamb, a child of prophecy. Orion Ewe.
Gods do not dream. Mortals, however, do. Mortals do not, as a general rule, prophesize. When a single lamb dreams night after night of devastation, they might find themself so inclined to try and do something about it.
Narinder would like a nap.
