(Sequel to "The Right Gift Can Heal Anything")
It's been a year since everything happened and life for the Madrigals was.... Okay. Not perfect but they were getting there. They got to use their gifts in a lot of new ways, learned to relax, the village was beginning to grow without always relying on magic, and new people were coming into the Encanto.
Things were good.
Mirabel had since recovered from her coma and was growing stronger everyday powered by the magic that had chosen her to wield it and created a new candle to store magic just in case. No one knew what she had known a year ago and she planned to take that secret to the grave and focus on the future of her family.
But when the future arrives with problems, secrets, and PTSD galore is Mirabel really ready for the responsibility that comes with the magic, the expectations everyone holds for her? Is she ready to face the dangers that come with it without her familia?
And why the heck won't Casey call her back!?
(This is mainly going to focus on the Madrigals, Casey, and Leo, but I'll sprinkle in the Hamato fam where I can)

Summary
Donnie has been bored lately. It’s been ages since he’s had a real challenge of his mind and the boredom is driving him insane. Fearing a what a bored Donnie could do Draxum gets him an internship in Yokai Cario to study archaeology. He’s still bored until Leo finds something of interest.
Leo needs a change of scenery after the invasion so he tagged along with his fav twin while he nerds out at the library. Quickly growing bored Leo expected nothing interesting to happen until he comes across a scruffy rabbit samurai with an interesting old puzzle box.
Miyamoto Usagi has spent a few years in Egypt trying to find the money to return to his homeland of Japan after he was disgraced for the failure to secure the ancient cursed city of Hamunaptra. He makes a vow to never return, but when he finds himself in a life debt to a couple of ninja he makes the journey with them and prays to his ancestors that nothing bad shall befall them and that the blue kame he travels with would learn the art of silence.
Now they’re fighting to stop the apocalypse after awakening a long dead mummy hellbent at bringing his lover back.
The rest of the Hamato just regret trusting the twins not to cause a disaster.

Summary
In a different timeline, in a different world, the war against the Krang invasion only lasted a few months. The Hamatos all survived, the world was saved, and peace was found.
But the Krang had left something behind. Something that infected every human, mutant, and yokai that came in contact with it.
A virus.
The world fell apart all over again, infested with Krang-like zombies that decimated the global population.
Decades later, an orphan named CJ discovers he's immune to the virus. He also may be the key to saving the world, so as long as he can get across the devastated, zombie-filled country to the Fireflies' lab in one piece.
Good thing he has a grumpy turtle mutant to help him get there.
__________________________________________________________A.K.A. The Last of Us/zombie apocalypse inspired AU, where the bad timeline/future happens a little differently. Basically, I got the idea of Joel = F!Leo and Ellie = CJ in my head and it got out of hand. (Knowing the TLOU story isn't necessary, though!)

Casey is a part of the Hamato Family, in both the past and in the future; this apocalypse-born child served as a symbol of a never-ending hope and a legacy they would all come to fulfill one day. He's gotten familiar with it, and as the months passed, with what they thought was the worst behind them, they enjoyed his tentative smile and eagerness to explore the new world around him.
They had forgotten.
Who could blame them? Casey was at ease slipping into the shadows during loud conversations, who stuttered and blushed in the spotlight, who gave them such kind smiles and decent pep talks.
The blood and guts wrapped around the chainsaw razors would serve as a constant reminder.
The boy was a soldier first and Casey Jones second.
----In other words, the 5 times Casey Jones killed to protect his family and the one time they killed for him.

Casey felt like he had become the rot as he opened his eyes and jerked back from where Raph was reaching for him. He came from a world so wholly consumed by selfishness and cruelty that this world felt like a fever dream. He pinched himself on worse nights just to be reminded of the reality that this place had become. It didn’t erase the fact that Casey had been born into the cancerous tumor of Kraang shadows, and that he may never truly escape the full scope of their influence.
Because Casey was always just two steps behind healing, and he couldn’t possibly catch up now.

Snapper and Stinkpot is an angsty canon divergent ROTTMNT au with Casey Jr. as the protagonist, Donatello as the antagonist, with Rise versions of familiar characters including Angel, Mrs. Morrison, surprise mutants, and like 3 major oc's with new background characters thrown in for depth.
