Shouto tries to ignore the way Izuku’s hero costume stretches and pulls on his body in all the right ways. He uses every ounce of willpower he has not stare at the green spandex as it accentuates and highlights Izuku’s muscles. Somehow, Shouto had never noticed just how much Izuku had grown up until now.
In which, pro hero Shouto finds a love letter that Izuku had intended to give him in high school and suddenly unrequited feelings aren't quite so unrequited.

Summary
Dreams were like butterflies; fragile and creatures with wings. Sometimes they flew away, sometimes they were caught, sometimes they were crushed under the boot of another, sometimes they were crushed under your own. Midoriya Izuku had a single butterfly he'd chased his entire life. That butterfly represented being a hero. It represented his hopes and dreams and wishes. And it was crushed.
All Might, the Symbol of Peace. The one who'd crushed Izuku's dreams himself.
Quirkelss was not a butterfly, but a wolf. An obsessive hunter stalking him wherever he went. Killing his butterflies one by one.
Maybe being a hero was overrated anyway.
Maybe being the one who started the fires was better than being the one to put them out.
Maybe it's time Izuku tried starting some fires of his own.(Also posted on Wattpad)

Summary
Izuku screams at her, his brain not even knowing what sort of verbal hate is flying out of his mouth. He screams and screams and screams, the welled up tears in his eyes making his entire vision seem like it’s filtered through a broken piece of glass. He doesn't even feel, doesn’t even understand what he’s doing to them. Empathy, once inscribed upon his heart, seems to have been torn out, leaving this void that desperately clings to others in an attempt to rip out the pieces of others to fill himself back up only to fail every single time.

His hands hesitantly came to rest on Izuku’s waist, holding the boy as gently as he was beginning to think he'd always wanted to, because his hands yearned with an urge to touch that could not have just appeared overnight. Everything about having Izuku in his arms felt right in a way that could only have been building up for quite some time.

“Uh- I, um-” Izuku clears his throat. “Wh-what size? Do you want your drink in?”
“Oh,” the man says, and he blinks once, lashes fanning over his cheeks- they’re white, his lashes are white- “Medium.”
“O-okay!” Izuku sputters out, jabbing the order onto the screen. “What’s your name?”
The man pauses. Then he opens his mouth, closes it again, then says, “Shou.”
“Shou,” Izuku mutters, testing it on his tongue. He taps in the name. “If you would please make your way to the left towards the waiting area, we’ll have your drink ready soon!”
“I haven’t paid yet though,” Shou says, and Izuku hears Uraraka muffle her laughter behind him.

Izuku inhales sharply and meets his gaze, smile sliding into place. It’s fake. “What what?”
Shouto huffs. “You know I don’t like it when people don’t just speak up when something’s bothering them.”
Izuku chuckles, but it’s not a happy sound. “Do I know that?”
“What do you mean?” Shouto frowns. “Of course you do.” It’s not a well-hidden aspect of his personality. Never has been.
“We haven’t spoken in a decade, Shouto; I don’t know what I know. People change.”
Ah. He runs a hand through his hair, sits back in his seat. “Izuku…” he starts, but trails off. What is there even to say? It’s true. They’re practically strangers. It had been naïve to think they could just pretend like nothing had happened.
“You know, for a long time,” Izuku starts, voice strained, blinking rapidly, “I told myself you’d probably just— I don’t know, lost touch with everyone. That it wasn’t— wasn’t just me.”

Izuku likes being a waiter, really! There's all sorts of people who he can meet -- every hour, he has a new set of tables, a new group of people to meet. They're usually really friendly, too. Especially the regulars. Occasionally, he gets stuck with the mean tables that complain about everything.
Sometimes, he's distracted by the cute customers. And, sometimes, he gets more involved with them than he probably should.
(or: a self-indulgent restaurant AU where Izuku's the poor waiter stuck with the pickiest customer ever, Enji Todoroki: the well-renown medical hero. Izuku's only now learning he has a son: a very, very pretty one.)

“Leave Izuku alone,” his voice is low and threatening.
Her expression morphs instantly, contorted into rage and she glares at Shouto. “Who the hell do you think you are? His boyfriend or something?” Ayame snaps and her arms are shaking.
“Not yet,” the words leave his mouth before his mind has time to catch up with what he’s saying. Shouto was most certainly not planning on confessing to his best friend with his ex looking about two seconds away from releasing Hell on him.
