Summary
A canon-divergence AU beginning at the point where Misa is taken into custody as the second Kira and forfeits her Death Note. Light wants to turn himself in, but Rem has decided that Light, and the Death Note, are too dangerous for Misa. Rem forces Light to cut ties with her, hoping she can have a normal life again.
Light breaks up with Misa and continues operating as Kira, leaving Misa alone in L's custody. L, suspecting that Misa might be more powerful than she appears, decides to try to take advantage of Light’s abandonment and befriend Misa, hoping that if he earns her trust, she might turn on Light and help L bring Kira down.

The type of fic that draws you in with excellent characterization from start to end, you start the chapter and it carries you swiftly until the last paragraph. Marina's portrayal speaks to you directly and seeing her thrive might get tears out of you. This is the type of authentic writing that turns a fic so special and memorable.
I won't spoil further, sometimes the brilliance of something can only be understood after you read it yourself. I'd recommend this to anyone. -

Do you want to see an actually decent and in character interpretation of Daarin? A fic where both of them have extensive characterization as individuals who complete each other, and not just empty personalities based on stereotypes?
Do you believe in the indomitable human spirit?
This is the fic for you. A slow-ish burn of two initially incompatible characters growing and learning together with amazing lore interpretation coming from the writer. I couldn't have come up with half of this guy's ideas in my most feverish dreams, yet he puts them out so naturally. A lot of wild, painful, beautiful and poetic things happen in this fic as cast expands and retracts in a fitting car-crash pace.
With each chapter you have the safety of knowing the next one is gonna be crazy AND good. There's everything, chaos, love, destruction, badassery, lots of fighting... And you just know while reading that you can trust whatever the author has going on to deliver on quality every time. This is a long piece clearly born out of pure passion for the characters involved. It bleeds through the honesty of every word.
A very TERMINA fic with brushes of UNDERTALE — in the best and most hopeful way possible.
