A noise like a wounded animal escapes Anakin; pathetic and wet and needy. He immediately bites his lip and turns his head away, mortified. Mortified even more, to the point of disintegrating to ash if he could, by the quieter, stifled sound that follows.

He only needed to look at his lightsaber's hilt for a second before he held it out in front of him, a second later, and the disassembled parts of the thing that had once been his life fell to the ground of the mining platform.

Sidious manipulates Anakin to believe Obi-Wan is dead, causing him to fall to the dark side much earlier than in the movies. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan and the Jedi think Anakin is dead, and that the new Sith by the name of Darth Vader is a pretty odd one.
