A miraculous last minute rescue from Thanos leading to a successful arrival on Earth. The Asgardians think they have a perfect solution to their royal problems. Thor doesn't agree. Loki is Loki and doesn't make anything easy - for anyone. Including himself.
In the meanwhile Tony is forced to deal stupid politicians. Accords that on further inspection doesn't hold up to international laws. A breakup. Oh, and trying to ignore his blossoming feelings for a certain supersoldier.

Summary
Two months after Rogers left him to die in that Siberian bunker, Tony is falling back on old sins. Pepper has broken up with him, his friends all have better things to do than babysit a depressive ex-Avenger, and Tony feels like there's a gaping hole in his chest. As far as he's concerned, the world has become boring and predictable.
A single exchange on a dating website proves him wrong.
Alternatively: Loki is stranded on Midgard, slowly recovering from his time in the Void. He needs money to get by... and acquiring a sugar daddy seems like the way to go.

Takes place after the first Avengers movie, then goes AU.
If Odin truly sees Thor and Loki as equal, they ought to face equal punishment for equal crimes. Thor's suggestion is granted and Loki is stripped of his powers as he is banished to Midgard where he has to either prove himself worthy or spend the rest of his life on earth without any special powers.
Loki though is not so easily broken. He might not have magic nor supernatural strength.
But he still has his wits, his gift of deception, his knowledge, and his basic skills as a fighter.
And he is not ready to just lie down and admit defeat. He is ready to do what it takes to rise once again and handle the incoming threat from the void. -

His little hawk is constantly by his side, doing as he asked. As he wants. Trying to make his boss happy. Loki and Hawkeyes bond grows, and his control over Clint lessens. Loki simply wants someone to listen. Someone to love him. Clint is simply conflicted. Stuck within his own mind he wants to escape and strangle Loki with his bare hands but at the same time... he wants to help the broken god. The one who lost everything. The second best. The one nobody wanted. He couldn't help but sympathize.

They have succeeded defending their homeworld from the Chitauri, Tony is alive after almost killing himself with delivering a full-blown nuke straight into the Chitauri vessel and they have defeated Loki who would be their subjugator if they failed. But like they would say, everything does not as it seems.
In which Loki got controlled by Thanos and didn't have the full memories of "his invasion" and the Avengers are left with a " gift " of an almost dying god of mischief.
