Eva who got to really know him, who could've chosen to stay away until she needed him again but instead was there for him for so many years. Eva who loved him more than anything. Who decided to do everything to save DuBois and Shapiro just so Ryland never has to go. Eva who chose him over the sure chance of succeeding if Ryland is the one going. Eva who chose Ryland in every way that she was allowed. Eva who lost him anyway.
