Summary
People that get reincarnated in fictional worlds usually end up being near the main characters or somewhere inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Usually, they have to struggle to get what they want, but not for me. In my case, my family and neighbor are what’s wrong in this world but they are too self-absorbed to understand it or busy enforcing it. I'm one of the lucky few that live up in the sky and can buy out an entire city with my own allowance.

Dan Heng has been looking to the sun ever since he was released from the Shackling Prison all those years ago. No matter where he went, where he ran, what and who he saw, he'd always look back to the sun, but no sun he'd ever seen could ever match up to the eyes that looked at him with more kindness than he deserved that day he was set free- and exiled from Xianzhou Luofu.

Summary
Supper secured and stuffed away in his trousers, he looks up to find the silver-haired stranger in the corner, the one person who hadn’t heckled him. The man is objectively gorgeous, with fascinating hair and a body that makes Jaskier’s mouth water a little.
Oh yes, he decides quickly, he will be climbing this stranger like a tree.
He’s a little wrong-footed when he works out that the stranger is a witcher with big scary swords Jaskier’s heard horror stories about, but after a quick moment of thought, he also thinks about how very many things the fae elders have been wrong about all his life and decides to ignore them once again. The witcher–Geralt of supposedly Rivia, even though Jaskier can tell from his accent that that’s a lie–tries to get rid of him, but Jaskier is nothing if he’s not determined, and he’s simply too damn interested to get scared off easily.
The witcher has clearly not realized that Jaskier is something to be hunted, and Jaskier, well, he’s never excelled at silly things like self-preservation.

“These are mine.”
Jaskier looks up at the sound of Geralt’s voice, blinking in surprise. The witcher’s tone is even, and his face unexpressive, but Jaskier still tries to read into the words. Geralt is holding a palmful of wrapped sweets in his hand, and a quick glance reveals them to be lemon candies, which Jaskier loves.
And which Geralt hates.
He frowns, confused.
“You don’t even like those,” he feels compelled to announce. His own lingering guilt and fear of being a burden after stealing Geralt’s dagger aside, it makes no sense why Geralt would suddenly decide to forbid candies he doesn’t even like when he’s never denied Jaskier things before. They’ve been to three other towns since then, and he hasn’t brought it up. Jaskier’s avoided any Mischief to avoid creating any problems since then, so it’s not as if he’s given him a pressing reason to suddenly feel the need to scold him.
“They’re mine,” Geralt continues, splitting them between both hands and tucking them into his pockets on either side. “So don’t steal them.”
(Jaskier is part fae and thus has a biological imperative for Mischief) (Geralt proves unexpectedly supportive about this)

"Are you bound to defend and serve me?" Julian asked, tilting his head slightly.
"Yes," the wolf growled, low and rumbling and nearly inaudible.

Prince Julian of Kerack, when he came of age and was officially named his father's heir, was gifted four bound and controlled witchers by the king of Kaedwen: the last four wolves of Kaer Morhen. Julian would prefer to accept the gift and set them free, but is forbidden from doing that on pain of their deaths. So instead, all he can do is apologize and treat them decently.
This simple, compassionate act sets off a series of events that will irrevocably change his life, his witchers' lives, and the lives of everyone living in the Northern Kingdoms.
(Technically incomplete in that the current ending was not the planned endpoint, but does not have a cliffhanger and is functionally a complete story. Subscribe to be notified when the hiatus ends.)

But it's rare to find a wolf that runs and hunts alone, and Julian has his own pack to watch his back, and he watches theirs. Maybe that'll be enough to keep them alive and running, even when the rest of the Continent wants to wipe them out.

"Haven't you noticed anything…" He gestures vaguely towards Jaskier's whole personage, rounding out in the general vicinity of his face. "That nothing changes?"
Jaskier twitches, something niggling in his brain, inclining towards Geralt's meaning.
"I have an excellent skincare routine, which you've previously expressed a violent disinterest in, I might add," he stubbornly snaps, now anxious and jumpy for some reason, and avoiding the little voice in his head and whatever it’s trying to tell him, whatever it knows.
"Jaskier," Geralt huffs, like Jaskier is being purposefully obtuse. Maybe he is. "You aren't aging."
"While I thank you for the compliment - and you can pass on my message to Yennefer to stuff it about my crows feet while you're at it," he blithely retorts, "I hardly see what that has to do with your wish, or what that has do with your...your weird, uncharacteristic mood, and your blasted secrets."
