March, 22nd 1987
The sound of Wills alarm flooded the room. He didn’t want to open his eyes it was to early, to bright. Today felt like any other boring day that repeated over, and over again, but it wasn’t. It was Wills 16th birthday.
It was to quiet for a birthday morning. Usually his mom would be storming into his room pulling him by the arm to eat the traditional Byers birthday breakfast, instead all he was met with once he went downstairs was a measly little note.
Me and hop went out for a while, there some money on the counter buy a pizza.

Will always saw the good in things, always gave everyone the benefit of the doubt so that exactly what he did this time even though it has becomes increasingly harder to make excuses.
“They will do something later, they always do.” Will says to himself grabbing his backpack and running out the door. He was about to go grab Janes bike too, wait for her to finish getting ready, then he remembered she stayed the night at Mikes, she’s been doing that a lot lately.

Or, Everyone forgot Wills birthday. He becomes depressed and the bullying gets worse.

Mike has finally made it as an author. But writing about your own past can get complicated, especially when fans start to draw conclusions that point Mike in the direction of the person he's been writing about all along.
And living life is hard. Especially when you're doing it all on your own. But grief and love are a lot more similar than you might realise. They both tend to wake us up from the monotony of our lives.

All of the trepidation we both felt only minutes earlier seemed to have been forgotten– pushed back into the recesses of our minds by the covenant that we would talk to each other again. Or maybe that was just how I felt. “Good night, Will,” I offered. Maybe it was the mystery of it all– the promise of adventure and intrigue. Maybe it was my curiosity about Will. Whatever it was, it was potent. Almost addictive. And I was already starting to suffer from withdrawal.

Summary
For Will Byers, school is nothing more than a place to complete his studies, get into college, and move on to making his dream of being a full-time artist come true. He isn’t looking to make friends or fulfill any sort of “high-school experience.” Mike Wheeler, on the other hand, seems to have all the friends he needs. But for some particular reason, he has his eye on becoming friends with Will as well. Will cannot seem to figure out why a guy like Mike Wheeler would want to get close with him, but the other boy is nothing but persistent.
Slowly but surely, Will begins to let his walls down, but that’s before he realizes the type of person Mike really is… and what Mike truly wants from Will.

It was a stupid idea to submit for the military mandatory health check after the ‘snow’. They’d know they've been involved in some way. Dr. Owen couldn't cover up everything in the past, and now he's died. Well, the military isn't stupid, the town thinks Hellfire Club brought about the apocalypse, and that Will, the zombie devil, is in charge of the crew. The military knows enough to piece together. To know there's something so very wrong with him. His dad knew it when he beat him. The town knew it when they harassed him. Mike knew it when he shunned him. It won't be long until the military knows it.

Season 5 rewrite where I'm having the military be a bigger villain, where Dr. Kay is suspicious of Will. Also, Byler's endgame, but Will will be with Chance for a little bit.

Mike's made too much money off of being one the worst people ever to exist.
Both have a tendency to fixate.

It's been three months since Will Byers moved into his dad's debilitated apartment. Five months since his mom went bankrupt after paying for rehab. Now he's spending his days trying desperately to fit in, kicking around a soccer ball with his new friends and walking on eggshells around his perpetually piss-drunk father. At night, he sketches under the glow of his flashlight, then stuffs the paper under his mattress and does it all over again. His life becomes suffocating, but routine--that is, until Mike Wheeler moves in next door.

Mike Wheeler hasn't seen Will Byers since fifth grade. Still, he remembers that day on the swings, remembers their old D&D campaigns and the pillow forts they made every sleepover. Only now, back in Hawkins, he remembers the rest--the jeering, the name-calling, the sharp shoves whenever he dared undress in the boys' locker room. It's worse this time round, so Mike's decides that playing hooky and taking up his mom's cigarette addiction sound like a much better alternative. And so does being a bad influence on Will Byers, apparently.

Mike inches closer to Will, wrapping his free arm around him. Will instinctively rests his head on Mike’s shoulder. “I don’t know,” he answers truthfully. “But we’ll figure it out, won’t we?”

When Mike Wheeler's parents tell him he needs to move to Lenora to live with the Byers for four months during the summer to get his act together and curb his bad behavior in Hawkins, he thinks things couldn’t possibly get worse.
That is, until he meets their son, Will.
The more time they spend together, the more Mike realizes that living in Lenora might be the least of his worries.
