After a few more beats the lead singer, a man with red hair that matched his red guitar, stepped up and began to sing. To Seonghwa, it was just as noisy as the track before. He didn’t entirely understand the appeal, but soon Wooyoung was grabbing onto his shoulders.
“That’s him! That’s San! Isn’t he amazing?” Wooyoung shouted in his ear.
Seonghwa shook his head a little, “Wooyoung, the show just started, how would I even know…” he trails off as the bassline picks back up, drawing his eyes to the bassist on the other side of the stage.
He couldn’t look away. The way his hands moved along the strings so easily as he looked completely relaxed and at home on the stage. His hair falling into his face slightly as he turned somewhat to the side to look at his bass, revealing the fact that he had a split dye. His eyebrow piercing glinted against the light just like his many rings and earrings. A couple tattoos peaked out from the short sleeves of his shirt, and while normally Seonghwa wouldn’t think twice about someone so obviously fitting a punk band stereotype–he couldn’t look away.

It was as if the older boy had his own gravitational pull that drew Jisung in, urging him to lean closer, and he wasn’t sure if it was the promise of warmth or something else that had him consider scooting closer to Minho.
“A nice guy would offer me his jacket,” he grumbled, ignoring the pleasant clench of his stomach when Minho’s smile became confident and impossible to miss even in the limited light.
“You’re not into nice guys, Jisung,” he said, and his words sent a frantic rush of blood to Jisung’s cheeks, warming his skin to burn hot in the cold air of the night.
Jisung swallowed back a shaky exhale, trying to keep some semblance of cool even if he had to avert his eyes.
“Who says I’m into guys at all?” he countered with an embarrassed mumble that only made Minho’s smile grow wider.

When Jisung is caught shoplifting his life seems to have hit rock bottom.
The reformatory institution he is subsequently sent to is more like a private boarding school, with a weirdly paternal founder and a group of residents, of whom Jisung is pretty sure at least one has it out for him.

The voice causes Wooyoung to freeze, and of course it’s after the sound of it reaches him that he realizes the scent of milk chocolate and sea salt enveloping his senses, causing a weight of dread to settle within him.
