“Sorry, babe,” Lucifer shakes his head and disentangles himself from Alastor’s long limbs. “I have something very important to take care of. Urgent." He quickly sits up and magically dresses again in his usual tacky white suit, which Alastor was stripping impatiently off him only less than an hour ago, putting on his large hat as his apple cane materializes in his hand. A magical portal opens right in the middle of their room that partially is Lucifer’s rubber duck kingdom and partially Alastor’s dark bayou, illuminated by the calming, ethereal light. "I won’t take long, promise, Al. Be right back!"

Alastor couldn't say for certain how many times this had happened; but it was no surprise to him when Lucifer crept into his room in the middle of the night, shutting the door at his back with a click and barely daring to breathe, lest he break the illusion that they were both indulging in.
The illusion that Alastor wasn't expecting him.
He didn't know why – of all people – Lucifer was the one he let touch him. The person he pressed against the hands of rather than pulling away, the man with whom he spent these illicit hours which neither of them mentioned in the morning.

Lucifer’s wings vanished as his boots touched the ground, his sword gripped tightly in his hand. Alarm bells rang in Alastor’s head as the man slowly turned and started toward him.
Where the fuck was Morningstar’s Guide? When was he last cleansed? And, most importantly, how close was he to going berserk? Lucifer had to be nearing his limit.
Alastor staggered to his feet, head swimming. His grip tightened around the chunk of rubble he held when Lucifer stopped an arm’s length away. “Commander Morningstar,” he greeted. “Where is your Guide?”
“In front of me.”

“Rut,” the Devil repeated, ruffling his own hair, “It’s a parting gift from dear old dad. This…it’s a whole thing. Lilith and I were both cursed when we fell…if we were going to behave like lowly beasts, then we would be shackled by nature as they were. It’s not fun. I get sensitive to everything - sound, scent, light. That’s the first thing. Then I start getting territorial and aggressive. After that comes the…uh…violent sex drive. I mean violent. We’re talking broken bones and that was between me and Lilith. Ozzie’s got a safe room for me.”
Lucifer is cursed to go into rut and Alastor is determined to worship his personal god rather than let him flee to another Ring to ride it out. Some bloodletting and Angelic chains might be involved.

Did you know that the Spotted Lanternfly's favorite food is the wood of the Ailanthus tree, commonly known as “tree of heaven”?
Alastor, head of the entomology department, knows that he is a devourer, he takes and he feeds and sates whatever his body demands and then he moves on, and he has never felt much remorse about that- life is too short and people are too much work: they always want too much of him.
He doesn’t really understand what he’s done to pique the interest of the school’s new heartthrob professor: Lucifer Morningstar, but that's fine- Lucifer will tire of him once he realizes that Alastor’s only real passion in life is tiny gross things with six or more legs. If only he would stop asking him questions like he actually cares about Alastor’s answer:
"What's your family like?"
“What's with the invasive species obsession?”
TLDR: “People aren’t pets, Alastor. You don’t get to pin them up on your board and watch them squirm."

Alastor wasn’t laughing, though his eyes gleamed in a way that suggested he wasn't truly angry. But despite this, his shadows continued to wrap themselves around Lucifer's wrists, pinning them to the floor. That definitely didn’t awaken something in Lucifer. Blushing hotly, the king waggled his brow suggestively.
“What are you planning, Bambi?” He asked.

Summary
Lucifer had known that getting along with Alastor wasn’t going to be easy, but he hadn’t thought it would be this hard, either. And for the record, Lucifer had been more than prepared to cut him some major, major slack. Waking up to learn that you had no eyeballs left to speak of and that you were effectively under house arrest until your only chance of ever seeing again had recovered enough to try to pull off a literal miracle in Hell would have been a hard pill for anyone to swallow, let alone for someone with the personality of a wet cat. Frankly, Lucifer isn't even sure why he cares so much. If Alastor wants to handle things himself, then so be it.
After all, it's not like he's the guy's keeper.

He wasn’t prepared for this.
Alastor arrives at V Tower expecting to finally get some rest after this awful day, or at worst to be tortured a little. He was not expecting Vox to try to make additions to his chair.
