Shadow fell to Earth that day. It was clear in his mind. He didn't think he'd remember his own death with such clarity. His mind repeated it to him over and over again, pacing up and down the memory. Sonic had reached out for him, in vain. And as he hit the ground, somehow both too fast and too slow, he felt every emotion he ever had, every idea he ever thought up, every lesson he had learned racing through him.

Summary
Shadow leaves his apartment to spar with Sonic. Upon not finding him at his house, he goes into the forest to search for him. When he finds him, he's avoiding him like his life is on the line. Shadow follows him, wanting to know why he's running away. And when he finds out, it's on him to convince Sonic to trust him enough to show all of himself.

Summary
Shadow has been having the same reoccurring dream for years now. He's standing in the middle of the road in a dress, and there's a car speeding towards him. He can't move. As soon as the car hits him, he sees that he is driving the vehicle.
He finally decides to tell some people he knows about it, and they all tell him to at least try wearing a dress (even if he says it has nothing to do with it).
When the dreams slowly start to change, (s)he realizes the dress might have at least something to do with it. -

Shadow had to hold back his whimpers as Sonic trailed his gloved paws over his wings. He was sitting right on the edge of his bed, with the hedgehog right behind him. He made the dumb mistake of complaining about how his back hurt, and made the even dumber mistake of telling Sonic that the issue probably had something to do with the wings that occasionally sprouted from it. And Sonic insisted on helping.
