    “I want your mouth because it argues with me,” he whispers, his words hot against Senku’s ear. He hooks his teeth on his earlobe, tugging it upwards. The sound that leaves Senku’s mouth is just as pathetic as his confession.
    Tsukasa’s wicked grin is immediate. Satisfied. “It makes such pretty little sounds, too. Just like that.”
    “I want your hands because they won’t stop building impossible things, even when the world is crumbling around you,” Tsukasa mutters. Holding his smaller hand tight in his, he brings Senku’s knuckles to his lips.
    The scientist couldn’t speak right now if he tried.
    “I’m sorry I’m like everyone else, because I want your mind, too. The filthy, poisonous things it thinks. The master plans it cooks up,” Tsukasa murmurs.
    “You being brilliant isn’t the only desirable thing about you, sweetheart.” Tsukasa touches his forehead to Senku’s. “It just makes me want you even more than I already do.”

Out of pure curiosity, she tests it—only to find the high-grade imperial cosmetic has been laced with a slow-acting poison meant to quietly wipe out the court.When she goes outside to find whatever guards lost their shipment, she runs into a tall, undercover soldier who is not soldier but a eunuch with a ridiculous face and a thoroughly annoying attitude.Maomao remains in her world of brothel while our sparkly leech had to move from the palace to her world because of missions and using her knowledge to tear down the motives of people working to tore the empire. (In short maomao was not sold in palace but jinshi had to change his world from time to time)
    ​A gritty, street-level rewrite of the Rear Palace arc. just an investigator who needs an expert he can actually trust, and an apothecary who just wants to be left alone with her father and shop.
    Very loosely following light novels because I am using my own original ideas.
