Summary
Before the dragonets of destiny were even a twinkle in their mother's eyes, there was a crisis. Xernalia was able to stop the sandwing succession crisis from boiling over to a war (although not without help). But it is rare for queenship to be given without blood being spilt. So the crisis dragged on and on- everyone acting as if there was a war. Dragons flew in formation above sweeping plains, spies whispered secrets in hushed corners, and queens grew paranoid in their palaces.
It has been a year since the war ended- the dragonets of destiny formed, Blister and Blaze killed, Thorn crowned, and the nightwings limping to the rainforest. However, the wounds left by the crisis still persist, leaving a large shadow over Jade Mountain Academy- not to mention reports of some shimmering curtain far to the southwest of the sandwing kingdom. It's just a mirage... right?

Ixhel, lost without her patron and praetor, attempts to reconstruct some stability with what's left of the powers of New Phyrexia. What's left of the powers of New Phyrexia has strongly differing opinions how to do that, whether that's a good idea, and whether Ixhel is anything more than a useless kzunk.

Very good, gives me a lot of insperation for IGM but can get very dark, like my darkest imaginings are put into paper. This is intentional, and it's a story against the darkness and how the characters overcome the vileness, but don't take this lightly
Also can get very sexual at times. Nothing dark is in the sex parts themselves, but rape is regularly discussed in the later chapters.
