    Dabi walked over to Shouta’s side of the bed. His hand, more gentle than Shouta had ever known him to be, caressed down the hero’s cheek to pull his face up. There was nothing in his startling blue eyes. Shouta knew where he got those eyes, that stare was unmistakable. There was no love or light behind them.

    So cute, this is the first fic i read where hitoshi isnt adopted by dadzawa/yamadad lol, def nice change cuz i needed inko content, i like the unfolding of event esp w shinsous fears like he doesnt stay too scared of them for too long where it gets boring/frustrating
    As of chapter21 shinsou barely realizes he likes izu non platonically so maybe in the 1shot or new multi chapter addition in the future thatll happen XD

    The fusion system isnt like steven universe, this ones more complicated and more fleshed out in ways i dont know or understand, Aaaa i wish i knew how to hack to get the author their old srvr back w the system explained lol

    “It’s amazing, isn’t it?” the boy continued, his gaze fixed on the pinpricks of light. “All those stars… suns, really. So far away. Makes everything down here seem…” He trailed off, shrugging slightly. “Small.”

    There it was. That feeling of insignificance Aizawa had feared. He shifted subtly, readying his capture weapon under the guise of adjusting his position.

    Izuku knows the world isn’t fair. To everyone of course, but especially to those society sees as lesser or inferior. He has struggled against this barrier since the tender age of four, trying to at most be recognized as a person of worth and at least to be given basic human decency.

    He spends more effort hiding the scars of his struggles from his mother than on trying to stop the ones who cause the scars. She has enough to worry about working two jobs to support them. He just wants to ease her burden, even just a little.

    It was a childish dream really, he knows this: him, worthless, quirkless Deku, getting into Yuuei, even as just a Gen Ed student. He should have realized that dreams are pointless and he should have been more realistic. People like him don’t go to places like that, even if they advertised that he could.

    It’s time he accepted reality and just settled for whatever he’s worth. He’s tired of constantly fighting to gain ground only to gain just an inch before he’s pushed back by feet. Maybe Kacchan has been right all along, why else would he name him Deku?

    Izuku was fine. He was okay. He had a solid job - a job that he loved. He had a home. He had 3 cats. Izuku even had a social life! No matter what anyone else said, he absolutely did. He called his mom every week. He was happy. ... Well, happy… might be a stretch. But he was definitely okay.
