In ShortNeither Dazai nor Chuuya were individuals who expressed the depth of their relationship through words. Linguistic articulations of affections weren’t something they expressed to each other often.
Dazai's medium of affections were physical touches. Chuuya cannot count the number of times the brunet has swiftly but selectively snuck in a kiss. The quick, short but sweet brushes of lips here and there whenever they’re together. However, unlike Dazai, Chuuya didn’t know how to reciprocate such physical touches of affection. He was always the one on the receiving end and never initiating back.
Dazai never minded that but it did make Chuuya feel guilty.
So he tries hard.

You don’t have anything waiting for you out there, and you know it.”
Finally, Dazai stills. He tries to formulate a response, but he's not stupid, and there's no denying the truth. Slowly, he nods, and from above him, Nakahara grins.
