This was originally supposed to be the drabble fill of two prompts, "It won't stop snowing, I guess we’re stuck here until it lets up..." and "Cuddling by the fire." It got… quite a bit longer than you might expect from a drabble.
Anyways, two stuck up dorks alone in a house in the woods, a fire to keep warm, a lot of snow that keeps falling outside, what could possibly go wrong?

“You’ll see,” the receptionist smiles, handing John the key to their room, “This honeymoon suite is quite spectacular. Our hotel has won many awards, most of them for these rooms.”
John forces himself to smile back at her as gently as possible, “We can’t wait to see it!” He glances back behind him where Sherlock is currently waiting for their suitcases before looking back at her, “What time do we have to return the key tomorrow?”
“Oh, don’t worry about that,” the woman replies, shaking her head slowly, “Whenever you’re ready to leave. Some of our guests chose to extend their stay for another day or two sometimes, and it’s really no trouble.”
John nods, licking his lips and playing with the key in his hand. We’ll probably be leaving first thing in the morning, he wants to tell her. As soon as Sherlock proves who robbed the previous couple who booked a room here, we’re out of here and stopping this happily married charade. “Thank you,” he says instead.

Sherlock inadvertently (he really doesn't know how; John just masturbated yesterday and isn't due for another wank until at least three days from now) hears John wanking in his room - while thinking about Sherlock, if his moans are anything to go by.
"Having John so close to him, kissing him like he meant something to someone was almost too much in itself. Sherlock broke off the kiss and slammed his head back against the wall with a moan.
“God, even kissing?” John asked in wonder, questioning the fates about how he became this lucky.
“It’s your touch,” Sherlock panted, eyes still closed with head tilted back, “No one else has come anywhere near this sensation. No one seems to have wanted to.”
“They were idiots,” John pointed out sincerely, “but now you’re here. You’re mine,” he growled before latching on to Sherlock’s enticingly long, pale neck with his lips.
Sherlock groaned, hips bucking forward of their own accord, as he moaned out a “Yes, John.”"

Sherlock found that he was gazing at John for the twentieth time that evening and frowned, blinking rapidly and shaking his head. He had been watching John more than normal over the past several days, and had followed John on more than one occasion through the streets of London; sometimes without even knowing he was purposely doing it. Sherlock had found new ways to touch John, as well; to invade his personal space, push up against him, and be close enough to smell the scent of his skin. It was curious and hindering, and Sherlock wasn’t sure how he was supposed to feel about it all.
Getting to his feet, Sherlock paced before the fireplace, trying to keep his eyes off of John’s face. He flushed with a growl, fisting his hands in his hair, “Stop it!” he snarled at John.
John blinked up from his novel he had been reading in silence and frowned at his friend, "Sorry, stop what?"
Sherlock gestured at him with one hand and then the other, pacing again and then stepping up close to him with an expression of frustration, “Do you have to be so…so…’John’?” he complained
