Lance has been haunting the manor for years, but it's more of a curse, if he were to guess, as he got the one thing he hated most, only partly being seen then being ignored.. Oh and being pulled to most robins in their worst moments.. but he thinks its more a name thing then anything else.. they call for the older robin or their older brother, they mean Dickie boy, but the universe cant deliver a live person.. and he is technically their older adopted brother, even if they dont really know that.. or The family see him in the corner of there eyes when tired, a dark figure moving just out of reach, his name hasn't been spoken in years, his grave, well, overrun, he knows he wasnt the best kid but god.
That is until, a new kid joins, and keeps.. Staring, Lance guesses it's just zoning out, Tim does it sometimes.. so he ignores it.. until his name, his real name, is said and hes drawn back to his grave.. that new kid is reading his grave inscription..
Or: Duke sees of a blonde ghost walking the manor, but the ghost doesnt seem interested in talking, so he decides the learn who this is to hopefully help him move on, cuz hes nice like that.

It was a feat unreplicated by any human before, and Mother thought it likely there would be no human after. There were humans who had outsmarted the Fae, who had run away or won their Games, but to actually live among them? For more than a mere Dance or day? The Court still spoke of him in awed whispers.

It was why she’d chosen him, in the end. Mother could have had any human, and had proven so by catching many of them over the years, but it was this Batman who intrigued her, challenged her, and had proven himself to be the best above all others. She’d tried to catch him daily, but he’d seen through every trick, avoided every trap. The more time passed, the longer Mother’s admiration for him grew, and the more she challenged him, the more he reciprocated until…

Some of the inspirations behind this include Edgar Allen Poe, the entire Gothic Horror genre, and The Addams Family. This fic will focus more on the found family aspect of Batman, but there will still be Batman stuff happening (leaning heavily into the supernatural elements tag.) Bruce does, and he’s secretly thriving in it. Maybe he’ll play into this one. Oh, and possibly collect a few children on the way.
A comedy mixed with some angst, a story of creating his own family that would make his parents proud.
