“Why are we still here?” one of the travelers complained later that day. “It’s been almost two weeks. Usually we’d be gone by now.”
“We haven’t accomplished our goal here,” the one with the scarf - Warriors - said with a shrug.
Wind sighed, leaning back against a tree. “What is our goal?”
Legend snorted at the question. “It’s obvious, isn’t it? We’re here to find Link.”
The others all paused, processing that, and Link froze from where he was peeking out of the scarf.
“... That… makes sense,” Four said after a moment.
“I suppose that is fairly obvious,” Sky sighed. “But surely we’d have run into him by now?”
Pressing his back against a higher fold of scarf so he wasn’t visible anymore, Link took quick, panicked breaths, keeping as quiet as possible. They were looking for him.
Or: What if Hyrule was the last one to join the Chain, and what if he wasn't in the shape of a Hylian when he did it? And what if there were a lot of tears and some hugs at the very end?

However, once again, time gets in his way. Catapulted into the future (or past?) with people he's never met (but know him in the future- this is confusing), Link must travel with a group of heroes in hopes of returning back and finishing what he'd begun, not just for the sake of those in his past, but now those in the future apparently as well.
