Summary
Feldspar has a quiet place on Timber Hearth they go to when they want to be alone. Following convalescence from their most recent trip, Feldspar seeks refuge in a place they discovered when they were a hatchling.
Gabbro has a secret fishing hole near the Geyser Mountains they frequent for some peace and quiet. Night fishing is one of Gabbro's hobbies, and they don't expect to find a (supposedly injured) Feldspar.
What begins as a chance meeting turns into routine for two Hearthians who outwardly could not be more different.

Summary
“Hey, I thought I might see you before the big launch,” you call out as they approach you. “Nerves getting the better of you?”
They don't reply, just... look at you for a while. They slowly scan over your clothes, your hands, your face, lingering at your scarred eye.
You arch a brow at them. “Need something, hatchling?”
Eventually, they settle within themself, square their shoulders, and look at you. “Think you can give me a hand with something for a minute?”

“I know a scary story you can tell them.”
“Oh? Yes?” Solanum replies.
Hal keeps their head lowered to hide what you think may be a mischievous smile. “Tell them what you told us about where Nomai ‘hatchlings’ come from.”

Summary
In the months following Snake's final mission, he lives life to the fullest until his body can't keep up with him anymore. Wasting away in a Manhattan apartment, watching Otacon's mental state deteriorate day by day, it seems like this is simply how their story comes to an end. Unbeknownst to him, Otacon isn't ready to give up—and neither is Sunny.
Persuaded to try experimental gene therapy far away from home, Snake finds himself realizing just how much he's been willfully ignoring about those closest to him... and just how much he will lose, if this doesn't work.

Summary
You don't know what it is—a detailed hallucination, a trick of the mind, or one last gift from the Eye of the universe in recognition of your years of steadfast dedication to finding the answer. Infinite life condensed into a moment: twenty-two minutes to save the universe. In the end, you led yourself and everyone you loved to their final resting place. A universe contained within the space of an atom, an explosion as bright as a supernova.

Summary
“What do you need, Nim?” you say.
“I don’t know, I don’t know,” they say, shaking their head hard enough that tears fling from their chin. “I need— I need more, Gabbro.”
You wrap your arms around their shaking frame, but it only lasts a moment before they squirm and push away from you. “No, no, that’s not it. I’m sorry, I don’t know, I’m trying to think of what…”
“That’s the problem,” you say softly, pulling back but keeping your hands on them. “Don’t try to think. Just feel, Nim. What do you need?”
