Summary
Nathan accidentally becomes the owner of the Undervale through a card game not long after he escapes his twelfth cult and feels trapped, miserable, lonely and unsure what to do with his life or how to really face his family. He was warned about the demon who lived on the property but can't stop himself from wanting to get closer to the boy.

Also we get to see some of Nathan's lore in his cults and part of why he's struggled so much with his mental health and finally found his place at the Undervale----------------------------------------------------------------------
This can be read completely independently of everything else in the series. This is based on something I mentioned in a previous fic and several people really wanted expanded on. Even though it can be read independently there is more context for what Abaddon went through in the fic 'Things Can Always Get Worse'.Series

He could feel his face flushing, but he quickly turned back to look away, doing his best to look like he wasn’t as guilty as he felt. He grabbed a nearby bottle of water, his fingers tight around the neck of it, hoping it would distract him.
"Just... don't say anything," he muttered, his voice a little more defensive than he meant.“
A superhero team had welcomed their former enemy into their team after he had changed for the better. Someone, however, doesn’t trust him and always seems to be on edge around him. The former enemy knows this quite well, and relentlessly pokes fun at him. But something about this man stands out; it drives the other mad with something he doesn’t quite understand. At some point, they begin to grow fond of one another. Nothing to it, really. But we all know something’s gonna go wrong. Or right.

Summary
When Katherine Freeling moves her children to the Undervale, a weather-worn house perched above the sea, she tells herself it’s a fresh start. Her brother’s death left her the crumbling hotel and all its debts, but also a chance to begin again. The fog is thick, the town is wary, and the house is never quite silent.
Strange things start small: footsteps in empty rooms, food that disappears, the faint scent of candle smoke when no one has lit a match. Then come the voices, the shifting light, and the feeling that the Undervale remembers them.
It is a story about family, grief, and the kind of ghosts that linger in houses and in people long after the doors have been locked.
In other words, the pilot we never saw.

Summary
Abaddon didn’t have a family, not anymore at the very least. He’d gotten used to life in the body of a young boy, though he longed for home. He wanted to feel the burn of hell again, but Katherine didn’t like it when he ran the electricity bill to sit in boiling water.
It got lonely, being the only demon around. Nobody understood him, nobody understood his struggles. He must’ve been obvious with his dilemma (he walked around sighing loudly until someone asked him,) as Katherine offered a solution.

A sleep deprived Esther asks Abaddon for the coldest glass of water he can get her. Abaddon takes this task as seriously as expected.

Esther probably should’ve thought about her answer more, after all she knows all too well that sometimes Abaddon takes things too literally or misunderstands because a saying means something different in hell than on earth, but in her defence her brain’s working overtime just to get the words out at all!
“As cold as you can get it,” she mumbles out. Esther tells herself that she’s just resting her eyes for a few minutes.
The last thing she hears is Abaddon saying, very seriously, “very well. I will not rest until I get you the coldest water possible,” and the doors to the cupboard opening and softly closing.
