Vi’s eyes traced every inch of Sarah’s frame, drinking in her beauty like a desert traveler stumbling upon a five-star restaurant. Her mouth curled. “Exquisite,” she breathed, her obvious thirst making Caitlyn want to gag.
Then, Vi gave Caitlyn a lazy once-over, as if inspecting a particularly uninteresting potato. “You’re not bad yourself, Cupcake,” she added with a nonchalant shrug. Even her scent screamed that she couldn't care less.

Plagued by guilt over her past transgressions against Vi and both cities, Caitlyn is determined to make amends. Meanwhile, Vi mourns the loss of her sister and Vander and tries to find her place in a world where she feels she no longer has a purpose.
Uncertain of what their future holds, they slowly begin to reconnect, trying to find a way through the turmoil and chaos left behind by past mistakes.
But then Vi vanishes without a trace after a shocking confession, and Caitlyn - unaware of the new chaos that awaits her - does everything in her power to bring her back.

Soon, something more than mixed drinks is being stirred up behind the bar, if Caitlyn’s mysterious past doesn’t make it fizzle out.

She is trying to figure out how to survive the rest of her 'free' life. Then, she moved away from the town, to the city, to get a job as a mechanic at the most prestigious academic institution. One day, Professor Talis noticed his students had turned in geniuses with their homework for his class. He discovered the phantom behind the change and invited her for a chat. And Vi met his sister.
This is a story of starting a new life, leaving the past behind. It is sad, and will hurt from time to time. This story is slightly inspired by 'Good Will Hunting'.
I will only continue writing this story if I get enough encouragement and engagement from the readers. When readers stop, I stop too, no kidding.

“What are you doing?” the woman asked, breath catching.
“Still being bold,” Vi said, her grin returning as her fingers closed around the woman’s hand. “And hoping you’ll remember tonight… in case it is just a passing moment and I don’t ever see you again.”
The woman opened her mouth, but no words came. Vi noticed the parts of her features not obstructed from the mask looked softer.
Vi leaned in slightly, close, but not yet touching. “Unless you don’t want to see each other again.”
The woman’s fingers flexed gently against Vi’s, holding her stare.
“I wouldn’t dream of that,” she said softly.

Vi and Cait meet at a masquerade, never learning each other's identities. But what happens when they meet again without the masks? Familiar details making them wonder, but them both convincing themselves it can’t be true.

No one had lost more than Vi. She had lost her fire, her title, her lover...her sister. Her entire world had been shattered in an instant, and she was never the same after. She didn't last, either; less than a month after the batter, when she was fully healed and had her permission from the crown, she left without a word to anyone. Yes, Loris pitied her. Pitied the person she was and the person she had become. Pity, though, meant nothing in the face of duty.
"Sir Violet Lane, Knight Errant sworn to the crown of Piltover. By order of Caitlyn Kiramman, Queen Regent, I am hereby restoring your title of knight of the Queensguard. You are to return to the keep with me or be branded an outlaw."
