It started with a bright flash in the sky, followed by a roar that shook the ground. Maria was at work when it happened, sitting in her office on the 15th floor of a high-rise building on the outskirts of the city. She had been typing away at her computer when the blast wave hit, shaking the ground violently.
Maria had always thought that she was a survivor. She had made it through the divorce from her ex-husband Tobias, and she had managed to raise their daughter Sophie as a single mother. So when she saw a bright flash of light and a mushroom cloud rise in the distance, she froze.

Summary
After escaping your Vault's horrible experiment and being thrown into what's left of the rotted world, you decided running on blind fury is easier to stomach. Your Ghoul traveling companion has similar sentiments about rage and vengeance.
Together, you and Cooper Howard trek into the Wasteland for answers not knowing what you'll encounter along the way. And not knowing you might start to find more in common as you both tug on each other's fraying threads.
EDIT: I will be dropping more one shot blurbs of these two and their lil adventures as they come. I'll just post them here for y'all as I go so it's together and it'll be casual as I get ideas but it's not exactly a long fic/series! Just a snapshot collection! Summary
Halloween, 1972. Three months after the showdown between Team Fortress and Team Fortress Classic at Gray Gravel Co., the RED and BLU teams are set to complete their final contract, given to them directly by the Administrator. The mission: Locate The Philosopher's Stone within Merasmus' library and deliver it to her. A simple mission that should have been done by morning, but disaster strikes when the mercenaries accidentally unleash a monster from one of Merasmus' books - The Shadow Blight, an eldritch abomination from another world.
The teams are scattered across the globe by this foul creature and Heavy and Medic are left stranded at Gray Gravel Co., where they find themselves in the midst of an apocalypse. With no allies to turn to and the Shadow Blight looming large, the two men try to gather their resources when a familiar foe finds them.
The Classic Heavy is somehow alive, and they quickly realize that they have no choice but to work together to survive. They don't know what lies ahead of them as the Shadow Blight ravages the world, but they must stay strong.
But they are not on their own; a strange masked man from C. Heavy's past joins them on their journey - The Classic Medic.
