Summary
After his father rejected his then 6 year old sons dreams, Jaune Arc did what any reasonable 6 year old would do.
Run off and join a mercenary band that just happened to be passing through, of course. But life wasn't as glamorous as he imagined. What use is a child in battle? Made to do chores, picking up scraps of learning during his time.
Over a decade later, Jaune Arc was still a fledgling mercenary, unskilled in training if not in experience.
But he still dreamed of being a hero. And on the day of his death he recieved a great opportunity.
Every day he dies, he will repeat that day. Until he survives it.

Summary
Beacon is in ruins. It's old news now, but Jaune and Yang lived through the moment months prior. Now they're stuck together in a siege, and Vale is slowly coming to grips with the shock. The muscles of an old Kingdom are flexing after nearly a century of atrophy. Old arms industries are slow to remember the craft, and the citizen army, the Gendarmerie, are called once again to service. Weapons are drawn up from the city armories, and heavy weapons are pulled from museums. It is a dire, and grueling time.
But Huntsmen don't serve in the army. They serve the Reclamation Office.
Most teams are pre-formed—holdovers from their educations. Jaune and Yang are no such thing. After all, nobody wants the guy with the worst combat record or the girl walking around with a bad-luck charm on her arm. It makes for hard, quiet work. Not silent, though—Yang couldn't keep still long enough for that level of quiet.
But between missions? When there's nowhere to go but home, what do they get up to? What are the ways they bond?

In the modern day and age, amidst the steady march of progress and technological achievements, there was no room for gods, spirits, or any being of a supernatural nature, and outside of the few remaining bloodlines that had long since intermingled with humans, their presence in the mortal realm was all but gone. At least, that's how it should have been . .
