Summary
Seven years ago Michael Wheeler jumped off this same quarry to save Dustin Henderson. Seven years ago, Jane Hopper brought him back up. But Jane wasn’t alive anymore, so there was nobody to save him this time.
Mike let out a breath of air and stepped closer to the edge. He hovered a foot over the air for a moment, staring at the sparkling waters below him. The watch on his wrist read 3:15 am. The stars reflected on the dark waters, and Mike knew this would be final. In a few days, maybe weeks, when someone finally notices he’s gone, they’ll pull his body out of the water the same way they did 12-year-old Will’s.
Mike took a deep breath, squeezed his eyes shut, and stepped off the ledge.

After graduation, Michael Wheeler loses contact with his friends. It all feels like time is moving fast, like everyone has moved on and he’s stuck, and nobody really needs him.
When a trip to the Quarry to end it turns into a revelation that everything is, in fact, not over, Mike struggles to grapple with his feelings and the fact that he’s been under Vecna’s Curse.

Summary
Immediately post-Season 4, the gang are catching up and reuniting at Hopper's old cabin. Mike, who's been on the edge of a panic attack for the past few days, excuses himself to get some 'fresh air'- unbeknownst to anyone but Joyce, who still isn't fully up-to-date on the Vecna situation. After about 30 minutes, the group notices his absence and are immediately concerned. They can't find Mike anywhere in the surrounding area, but they find the exact thing they were dreading; a small gate.
Mike finds himself in the Upside-Down, but the circumstances are strange. Vecna is nowhere to be seen and the area around him is completely barren. It's an elaborate plot to torment Mike with his greatest fears; forcing him to relive his own worst memories with his family and friends by his side.
How much could one kid have to hide, anyways?

That would be nice. No memories to miss or consciousness to ruminate on.
But his head was splitting. Worse than when Billy beat it in, worse than when the Russians tortured him. The exotic matter had destroyed everything. So, he should be dead. Unfeeling. Peaceful. But he only hurt, aching up his nerves, his spine, his skull.
One last fuck you from the universe, kicking him while he’s down.

The year is 1984; After Ted Wheeler dies because of some stupid lab accident at his annoying government job in Hawkins, Indiana, Thirteen-year-old Mike and his family are forced to move there and stay at some lousy trailer park because 1.) moving there was the closest thing they had to still being with him, not that Mike really cared, 2.) it was the cheapest place his mom could afford when you’re in charge of a family of four with no man in the house, and 3.) because Mike had kinda maybe sorta did something really, really bad to another boy at school that unfortunately just lined up with the time him and his family had to move so… nothing important really.

Summary
His hands were cupping his face, the pressure of his fingers against the wound making him scream again. He couldn't see, his eyes blurred with tears and pain in a way that made everything fuzzy,
No… wait… only one of his eyes was bouncing around wildly, eyeing the snarling Demogorgon that was sniffing at the fresh splatter of blood on its claw. He was watching it, a keen rising in his chest when he realized that it was only out of one eye.
It was- It must've been the blood that was making it hard to see, the blood was gluing his eye shut, that was why he couldn't see. He cried out when the Demogorgon turned back towards him, flinching away when it roared in his face, tensing like it was about to lunge.

The Demogorgon got to Mike a few seconds earlier, claws ripping through fragile skin and now Mike had to fight to heal and adjust while trying to rescue his sister from an inter dimensional monster. Which is actually pretty hard when he's in pain, drugged to the gills, and can't stop blurting out things that he would really rather not. Case in point: the Quarry, the box of unsent letters in the back of his closet (Ironic, yes, he knows) and his embarrassingly massive crush on his best friend.

Summary
It's almost-winter in Hawkins and Will wants to go out on a walk. Worried with the possibility of being taken again haunting him, the idea of someone else being taken instead, not to the upside down, but to his world, doesn't even cross his mind until he walks into a familiar face. But this face, shouldn't be here.
:Will comes across Mike. But Mike's not from his world. This Mike is from a universe when instead of Will disappearing on November 6th, it was him instead.
Trying to not cause some catastrophic world-ending event, Will attempts to hide this Mike from everyone else, hyjinks ensue.

Summary
Mike Wheeler ran away from Hawkins as soon as he got the chance, wanting to get away from the trauma surrounding it. Unable to face his friends after realizing they’re all healing while he isn’t, he goes to the farthest place imaginable – Arkansas. After enrolling at the University of Central Arkansas, he cuts contact completely with everyone in his life. Mike thinks that he’s finally escaped all traces of his past life, but soon has an unwelcome intrusion in his otherwise peaceful life.
After finally accepting himself, Will Byers had excitedly enrolled at the Rhode Island School of Design, ready to take on the world. He soon realized that his passion for art didn’t translate well into the schooling for it, and that the East Coast wasn’t as carefree as he’d thought. After getting out of a bad relationship, Will finally had enough and moved back with Joyce and Hopper to find himself – in Guy, Arkansas. Attending the nearest school for his new major in nursing, Will is excited to have another chance at a clean slate, this time abstaining from any romance until he’s finally found himself. This proves to be more of a challenge than he thought, though, when he finds his missing childhood crush at every turn.

Standing up with a creak from the chair, he lifted his weak legs, he felt the way a sudden cold shiver travelled through his body, almost as if it was warning him of danger.But suddenly feeling a pain in the scar on his cheek was more of a sign than anything else. The pain soared through his cheek, going all the way to his head, and pulsed like his quick heartbeat.
“What the fuck…” Mike muttered before gritting his teeth.
