He glanced around, satisfied at the lack of movement. Turning and walking towards the door he froze at the sound of a faint whimper. Careful to keep still, he turned his head just a bit, scanning the messy display of his handiwork. Twisted corpses, broken weapons, stray limbs, a spattering of brightly colored blood…….
