The sapphire blue sky, polluted with ashen grey and sparks of gunpowder decorated the sky and the floor caved in from the TNT, the people watched as their home got destroyed again, and they gave up.
Except for two, one short brunette and a tall blonde. They continue to fight, even though their relationship was being held together by thin strings they reunited in the name of protecting one of the only homes in both of their lives. That is, until the brunette gets blown away by beautiful works of gunpowder and dye. The blonde watches as the brunette's life slowly drains from his body, and he loses himself, watching the string that connected them together be ripped before his very eyes. And he begs for the sweet release of death in order to join the brunette.And he gets it.

Tommy wants to prove that even a 12-year-old kid from an overlooked district can win instead of all of those stuck-up Capitol pets.
Fundy is confident that, with his technology, he will easily get the glory earned from becoming the champion.
However, anything can happen during the Hunger Games, and all of these tributes's opinions may change, for better or for worse.

Summary
Tommy isn't stupid, despite how it looks sometimes. He can tell when he isn't wanted, and a sword to the back is a fairly clear tell of that.
Skip ahead a few years, he's the reigning champion and basically co-runner of a fighting arena nestled snuggly inside of an anarchy server. Going by the title "Phoenix the Head Hunter", he's got some fire-red wings and an entire 'shelf' of heads in his collection from his matches in the Arena.
Coming up on the two year anniversary of him claiming his title, a new fighter appears; no name registered to them and their features covered. This fighter quickly gains everyone's attention, easilly beating one of the Arena veterans his first night fighting. Tommy in specific noticing how similar their style is to someone he used to know.
The Phoenix is always up for new heads on his shelf, but this one might come with more than it first appears.

They like to pick on the quirkless to make themselves feel better.

But no one stops to think about the quirkless, their percentage of the population slowly decreases, becoming less and less relevant.
His hope of becoming a hero was shattered at the ripe age of 4, when he was informed there was no way he could get a quirk.
His house was attacked at the age of 15.
His mother died in a fire that he couldn't stop because he was quirkless.
