After the fight with Diluc and gaining his vision, Kaeya lost the only home he has left. While trying to figure out his next move, he meets Pantalone of the Harbingers, who invites him into the Fatui. There, he meets Ajax, a boy who carries the same marks of the abyss that he does and who’s only determined to grow stronger.
Among the Fatui, the Harbingers are existences that are to be feared and respected. Among them, the Eleventh, Tartaglia, and the Twelfth, Arlecchino, are known to be the Innamorati--fearless, reckless, and inseparable.

Summary
Lumine's sometimes-unfortunate adventures in Teyvat, with co-stars big brother Kaeya and weird bff Paimon, and special guest appearances by many of our other favorite characters. It definitely wanders into AU territory at some point but I don't know where...
Whump and hurt/comfort, because that's what I want to write and that's as good a reason as any.
Started prior to We Will Be Reunited, so some of the lore is off. I'm not fixing it.

To her credit, she performed quite well, and didn’t freeze to death in the several hours she trudged through snow and ice.
She expected maybe another lawachurl armored in ice, mayhaps even the rumored Ruin Grader. But one day, as she crossed the Snow-Covered Path and completely made a detour from the map, she came face to face with a decimated camp, and two eerily familiar people slumped over extinguished torches, and both freezing—she could only hope she wasn’t too late.

A serial killer surfaces in Mondstadt. One whose signature is eerily similar to the first serial killer Jean and Kaeya ever caught together, four years ago. Right after Diluc left the Ordo. The shadow of the past falls heavily on the new investigation, as the three friends hunt down this threat to their city and are forced to reconcile their lives now with their regrets and mistakes from four years ago.

Kaeya hums. Venti had mentioned something about that, but he'd only been half listening. "Yes, I heard."
"You're not at all concerned? What if they come for you next?"
"If I die, I die," Kaeya shrugs.
Mona frowns. "If you die, how will I get free peach tea?"

Kaeya could hardly be considered a God with his gnosis stolen from a dying archon, but others don't see it that way. Namely his friends that don't wanna run the risk of the fatui showing up and beating him into the ground. Kaeya doesn't mind too much, but he will probably die without his gnosis, and that's just a little inconvenient.

It doesn't take Kaeya long to realize that this is something much more insidious than simple bad dreams. His brother's life and sanity are on the line and there is nothing Kaeya won't do to save him.
