The silence was killing him, he hated Tommy’s silences in particular. He never knew what the prince was thinking, or what his silence meant; and that lack of knowledge each time induced a type of frustration inside of him that didn’t possess an end.
A small eternity passed before the prince shifted, and extinguished his cigarette in the ashtray. He then locked his gaze on Alfie, and stretched out his hand.

Instead he goes back to the Bakery to take his pent up feelings about almost being shot three times on this day out on the gangster who's ruling London's Underworld, Alfie Solomons.
