Hikaru snorts. "Ew. Yeah, I kinda get that. But maybe it's more like—" He reaches in a little further, bites his lower lip like he's having to think real hard about it. "It's like all the moss and weeds that grow on the rocks at the bottom of the creek. It's squishy and slippery under yer toes and the water comes up all round yer legs. Except yer leg is an arm and the creek is, uh, yerself."

“It’s just snow,” Hikaru feels a need to remind him—an admonishment really, although he’s smiling, so he’s sure it doesn’t come across the way he wants it to. “You’ve seen snow before, haven’t ya? In those memories ya took from me.” He flicks Hikaru between his eyebrows, and Hikaru immediately whines and snaps back, rubbing the slightly-reddened patch with a pout. It only takes him moments to recover, his eyes brightening again, and Hikaru just barely manages to latch the zipper and pull it up before Hikaru’s back to bouncing on the balls of his feet.
“Yeah, but this is like—” Hikaru huffs and pouts again, even while rocking. “Ya know why this’s exciting. First time actually getting to touch the stuff with my own hands, you know that?” He wiggles his hands as indication. Hikaru merely frowns thoughtfully and turns around, digging through his drawer for a pair of gloves, as well.

So I'm a free-range superhero (35M) specializing in looking out for my community. There's a local vigilante (?M) who I'll call Frog Hop who doesn't believe in business opportunities who's been getting in my way a lot. I think it'd be safe to say that he's my nemesis. Last night there was an important shipment that he got in the way of at the last minute (he has these carrot-themed bombs that cause so much fucking noise and light, I hate them) and when the smoke cleared it turned out that he'd ruined the perfectly legitimate business opportunity and he was there kind of like what are you gonna do. So obviously I told him that he'd ruined my plans for the last fucking time and kind of went after him with my claws and wings. Which I thought was fine, he'd gotten in my way one too many times, right?
But anyways, when I was talking to my friend T (32M) at our coffee meetup this morning the fight was on the news and he said that maybe the hero had taken things too seriously, and the vigilante saw this more as a fun rivalry they had and didn't mean to really hurt the hero.
AITA?

“But–” Ranboo cut himself off in horror. He glanced between his family members. “Uh, can’t I date when I’m on the dean’s list instead?” He didn’t say 'that might be more achievable' out loud, but he definitely thought it.
“No, when Niki thinks it’s a good idea to date, you can follow her lead,” one of his moms said, nodding.
“Like a double date,” his other mom said, glancing up at her wife.
“Like a double date,” she agreed, nodding.
Niki laughed a little incredulously. “That might not—happen? I’m pretty happy with my life as it is, actually.”
Ranboo’s mom grinned, the corners of her green eyes crinkling. “Sounds good to me,” she said. “You can go on dates when Niki does.”
“Great,” Ranboo said. They laced their fingers behind their back. “Fantastic. I think this is a great plan that will not have me die lonely and alone.”
OR: Ranboo isn't allowed to date until his sister does. Which is bad news for his future romantic prospects. Fortunately, he has a plan to fix this.

There had been rumblings, of course, and Neuvillette had heard them all. Compared to the inscrutable Rex Lapis and the absolute will of the Narukami Ogosho, Furina cut an odd figure. Her constant presence was unusual enough, but it was only a matter of time before someone figured out that their almighty Hydro Archon couldn't so much as fill a teapot.
This, like so much, held the potential to damn their nation, so in true Furina fashion, they decided to put on a show.
