Dylan could admit when he was wrong. Gotten pretty good at it too. Though that didn’t mean he enjoyed it—the confession nor the deed itself. Despite the admission, he felt his current situation required some serious self-reflection...
To start, maybe not staying in the lodge was a bad idea, to say the least. Yes, Mr. H had warned them to stay inside. And yes, that warning flew over every single one of their empty, little heads (except maybe Ryan and Abi…), but it’s not like he was completely responsible for that! One: it was a group effort. Two: he really wanted to get drunk in the woods. And perhaps partying in the middle of nowhere—in the middle of the night—with a bunch of drunk 18–20-year-olds, miles away from any hospital, police station, or cellphone tower could be seen as… risky. During a full moon, nonetheless. But he could own that, especially seeing as it was his own suggestion that got them there in the first place.
He could not, however, be blamed for the fucking werewolves. Despite what his father might’ve claimed if he could see his sorry excuse for a son now.

My reimagining of The Quarry but set in a universe where werewolves and hunters aren't that uncommon. For Dylan, at least.

Everything was muddled and confused and it hurt, and Jesper didn’t fully understand what was going on.
All he knew, was that when Kaz Brekker said ‘meet Wylan Van Eck,’ his whole world had come to a sudden, screeching stop.

The Van Eck kid had the look of a fawn caught in the headlights; he was standing ramrod straight, his wide, beautiful, doe eyes fixated on a point in the distance. His only movement was a slight twist of his hands, clasped together in front of him, and the steady rise of his shoulders as he took deep breaths, regulating his breathing. Jesper immediately felt a pang of sympathy for the kid, who clearly wanted to be anywhere else but on that stage.
Headmaster Bates finished his introduction and clasped Wylan on the shoulder. “Wylan,” He said, “It is a pleasure to welcome you to our school.” Jesper winced as the boy flinched at the unexpected touch, but Wylan seemed to recover quickly, a forced smile appearing on his face as he thanked the headmaster for his kind words.

Its too bad Wylan is so beautiful.
* * *When Jesper first saw Wylan, he looked like something out of a painting. He was sitting under a tree, bent over a sketch book; light streamed through the leaves of the tree, catching his ruddy hair, making it a golden red. And when he looked at Jesper, his eyes were a wide, clear blue. He looked like a prince in a fairytale. He was every bit the rich boy Jesper should have been expecting. But Jesper hadn’t been counting on Wylan being so beautiful.
Then he opened his mouth and the picture was ruined.
“Are you the new royal escort?” He asked; his accent was delicate and prim. Rich people have a way of reminding people that they’re rich, as if money seeps into their every mannerism. “Because if you are, you’re late.
