Gerard Way, failed artist and professional fuckup, co-owns Party Poison, a shitty bar deemed the worst in New Jersey where he and The Gang (his friends) hang out and pull dumb shit that usually gets them almost arrested. They're all complete fuckups in their own special way, but in some views Gerard can be considered as the biggest fuckup. He tries changing though, at least occasionally.
Now, Gerard's really trying to change through getting over his exes to have some form of happiness in his life through throwing himself back into the dating game.
The only problem is that he's just gotten a little too attached to the old spark he's kept for longer than he should've.

Summary
In June 1952, Father Patrick Stump is involved in a scandal so great that the Diocese of Chicago has no choice but to send him away in disgrace. He finds himself in the town of Clark, Mississippi, a town not known for its tolerance of anything other than the All American Dream.
Pete never wanted to make the move to Clark but found himself forced by lack of opportunities and the death of his father during the war. And I figure…if I was in Hell, falling in love shouldn’t really be in the cards, should it?
So after that, I started thinking—okay, maybe this place isn’t anything I ever heard about in school or church. But then again, maybe it is. Maybe this is Purgatory. And I always had the idea that Purgatory was kind of like prison, y’know, you gotta serve your sentence and the only thing that’s gonna get you out quicker is good behavior or having friends in high places. But maybe—maybe you don’t have to just sit around waiting for someone to tell you your sentence is up. Maybe Purgatory ends when you get yourself out of it.”

He stares, and then glances up, and grins helplessly.

“Grant-!” Gerard protests, covering his face with his hands.

Gerard was right, there’s no guarantee there’s a dick anywhere here. There’s no guarantee there’s anything Grant would consider vaguely humanoid here. The only way Grant can even begin to describe it is… floral.
**Gerard is a translator working on a merchant space ship. He happens to be dating the Captain of said space ship, Grant Morrison. He also happens to be a psychic alien with unusual junk. Grant doesn't know what to do with it but he's totally down for having a go. Ridiculous alien first times ensue.

Killing yourself, dying in an accident or being murdered results in you being reborn and having to start the long journey all over again.Now, 105 years later, there aren't many people left living.
Gerard was born into the miserable world and is 29 years old. He is impatient to finally meet his maker and be able to find peace.
