He can feel his nostrils flare, some unconscious flood of anger and frustration venting itself from his body. He finds the latch with his left hand and works it loose, but uses his metal one to dig into the fabric underneath and rip until the shoulder of the shirt tears free, since they can’t get to the glove or vambrace on that side, and he’s praying the arm, much like the rest of him, will squeeze out like a tube of nutrient paste when it comes time. “You wanna give something to your kid, you’re gonna have to do it yourself, you hear?”(Or, Cobb gets wind of a certain Mandalorian in trouble in his neck of the dune sea. “One of the delegation’s sticking points in the treaty has been a desire to share risk between the New Republic and Mandalore. They don’t want to sign without an assurance. Apparently it’s traditional to do this... somewhat literally. I don’t get the sense that it’s universally desired, but,” she shrugs a little, “we’re all floundering here. Rebuilding a republic out of a dictatorship isn’t easy.”
“I’m not getting the problem here, Leia. So they want it all in writing?”
She lays it out for him, and Luke can’t say he didn’t ask for it. “They want someone from the New Republic to become the new Mand’alor’s consort. Essentially, they want a hostage.”Luke wants the New Republic to back and fund his plans for the new Jedi Order, Bo-Katan wants Mandalore to rise to its previous glory, Leia wants a system of governance that is functional, and Din wants a nap.

Obi-Wan gathered his courage from his talk with Cin the night before and tapped his boot against Feemor’s again. “Guess it’s brothers after all.” He felt his heart throb in his throat, but the warm expression melting over Feemor’s face had the fear sliding off of Obi-Wan’s shoulders.
“I guess so.” They made twin noises of distress when Rael draped his arms over each of their necks and yanked them into an uncomfortable three way hug with the table in the way.
“This is a bad idea.”
Feemor let his grin grow, his turn to tap Obi-Wan’s foot. “A very bad idea.”
“The best idea!” crowed Rael, and the Force didn’t disagree.

Along the way, he bonds with his lineage sister, Depa Billaba, gets into mischief with his best friend Quinlan, and meets the Mand'alor, Jaster Mereel.
Obi-Wan Kenobi, unwanted child and then unwanted initiate finds himself a family that spans cultures and the galaxy. And when darkness rises up to threaten it, he defends his family with all the lessons and tricks the Force has taught him.
