Tommy twists in his seat, head snapping back to look out his back window and watches as three more men (holy shit, is that the Blade?) come darting towards his car.

a woman who had been hunched over mere moments ago, whom he had just passed in walking, sprung to her full height. she lost a scarf and somehow managed to age back a lifetime, posture straightening, and giving him a look.
then she pulled out a gun and started moving towards the apartment complex he was walking past with the groceries, dragging him with her.
OR i watched an episode of criminal minds (s5e09) again and i find it so fucking funny how everyone - i mean EVERYONE on the street in like a 2 block radius of this ONE BUILDING was an undercover swat person. LITERALLY EVERYONE. THE STREETS WERE EMPTY.

Techno glanced up, squinting at the kid through the historical nonfiction section. He had a grin on his face, like he knew whatever he was going to say would get a reaction from him. He shelved a documentary on the American Civil War and kept working, ignoring him almost entirely.
"Let me eat your pancreas,” Tom Watson said, the finality to his tone sounding less like a suggestion and more like an order.

I know you’ve got the brain to get into the program,” Dream began, the blurry angles of his face shifting as he leaned back in his chair, arms crossed over his chest. “I want you to go in undercover, as a spy, of sorts. I’m going to find the weakness and get those fucking cripplers off of the streets, and then take down SBI. Once and for all. I’m— we’re— the only hero’s this world needs, Tommy.”
“What?” Tommy squeaked again, his eyes blown wide in shock.
“You, Tommy Innett, are going to help me destroy SBI. We are going to knock them off of their high-fucking-horse. We’ll show them that hero’s can come from anywhere. We’re not just street scum out here”
The air was heavy with tension as Tommy stared at the pamphlet in his hands.
“Fine.”
“Fine?”
“I’ll help you take down SBI.”
