Before the DreamSMP, before the Tales of the SMP, there was a country called [redacted]. It was home to what seemed to be a peaceful community, but like many say--don't judge a book by its cover. Things soon get complicated for Tommy, and his brother Deo as the latter realizes the Kingdom holds a darker secret.
Quackity and Schlatt are hunted and wanted for their status as hybrids. Wisp (former name: Kit) is despised for being what others consider a traitor. Luke is, by association--an outcast--as his parents did not follow what their clan's elders wanted. Ranboo does not feel like what he is--an Enderman/Ghast hybrid; he does not crave blood like his family. Bitzel is considered "not a real man" as he feels sympathy and wants peace between his land and its opposing forces. Boffy is part-dragon but he hates his body and skin; it doesn't feel like... him.
In the midst of everything, DreamXD watches them all quietly.
OR: The lives of very different nine human males and how they join forces, and consequently earn the favor of the God of the Universe himself.

Tommy had always wanted to go to see the world, of course, his father and brothers were never around to take him. He was already such a sheltered child, he never expected to want to leave his community or family. He definitely didn't expect himself to run away to the deadliest realm of the three.
After getting into a fight with Wilbur and Phil he finally found the courage to run, and frankly, it was about damn time.
AKA: Tommy has always felt a pull to the Nether, after a fight, he finds himself there, feeling more at home than he ever has before.
AAKA: Tommy wasn't meant to live in the over-world, or with his family.
