Summary
Luffy’s grin is bright, and he pats Sanji on the back in thanks before sliding his hand up to rest comfortably on the blonde’s shoulder. Sanji takes comfort in the heat that bleeds through his shirt to warm his skin, and relaxes into the touch.
Then a voice comes from somewhere deep in the back of his head and tells him to take it further, to tilt his head down and press his cheek to it, to turn and touch his lips to the knuckle of Luffy’s pinky, and he tenses again.
That voice has shown up out of nowhere in the few short days that he’s known Luffy, and it’s a voice that’s been getting harder and harder to ignore the more frequent it gets. It’s there every time he looks at Luffy a little too long, there when Luffy’s smile feels a little too bright, or when his big, pretty eyes look at Sanji a little too softly. But ignore it he will, because he has to.
