Lucy enjoyed books— any she could get her hands on. She appreciated hard work, took pleasure in creating and her parents told her to build a career off something that lasts… Well bridges and water towers mostly did, right?
So, that’s exactly what she did. She helped build back Sandrock. Hero? Maybe. Courageous? Sure. Fulfilled? Possibly… but that’s what she should feel, right?That comes into question after something simple. Andy mentioned something offhanded one day that led down a road of inconceivably dumb luck and perhaps building something more. Life isn’t just about building up a town; sometimes, in a rare few, the town builds up something more in a person. Lucy experienced such growing pains after the routine returned to Sandrock.
This takes place in contrast to Cornered Beasts. It is another take on how a rough-and-tumble yakboy finds himself running into a thick-as-magnesium steelhead.

Summary
"Azure Moon" is my adaptation of the main storyline from MTaS and was inspired by the beautiful story Pathea created. Focusing mainly on the evolution of my Builder ("you") and Logan's relationship, it will also provide additional context to the story as a whole through both canon and head canon events. Everything in this series will be heavily laced with canon concepts and dialogue, so be on the look out for those portions!

I often find myself craving more in games like this and as a result, my imagination tends to run wild. Wanting to have an outlet for my ideas, I decided to create "Azure Moon". I have been so happy to hear from the kind folks who have taken the time to read through them. I also thank those who encouraged me to do this and have shown an abundance of support. It truly means more than you know.

Summary
Dishonorably discharged from the ACI, with no house and no work experience record, Nate decides to try and start over in the failing town of Sandrock. Surely a free workshop and house far outweigh the dangers posed by the encroaching desert, monsters, rampart guns and bandits, right?
Much to his chagrin, the world shows him he has even further to fall when he runs into the very agent responsible for his discharge.
Between struggling to keep his workshop afloat, following the strict rules of the failing town and dodging the church enforcer's determined efforts to turn him into a real man with real muscles, Nate has no time or patience for the agent's shenanigans.
Now, if her pet project, Logan the bandit would stop pestering him as well, everything would be great. But it's hard to resist those damned sky blue eyes.

Another hairbrained idea spawned by my brain in the middle of the night. Not a lot of trigger warnings apply yet.
It will feature a more palatable Pen, a bantering Grace and a rather thirsty Logan.

This is going to be a novelization of the game with 2 builders based on mine and my IRL husband's characters. Mostly because I have no life and you guys inspired me to hop back into writing fanfics after nearly 20 years. I will try to stay faithful to the material for the most part, with a few of my head canons sprinkled in. Comments and constructive criticism is very much welcome, as I'm using this as a jumping point to get back into my publishable novel. I hope you enjoy. I will post any major triggers that I can, other than game typical violence, in the notes before the chapter in BOLD letters. The worst of it is in Chapter 9, and can largely be skipped.

After spending most of her adult life in Highwind, she was forced to run, taking only her skills, knowledge, and a trunk of tools with her. Luckily, she's not new at this Building gig, having been at it for a few years, and has amassed a small nest egg to help her get started in this dust bowl. She brings no expectations, but finds ambiguous loyalties and dark surprises around every sand-covered corner. Her past comes back to haunt her despite her attempt to escape it, and the only thing keeping her in the disaster-prone town is the love triangle that causes her as much grief as it does ecstasy.
[Marking this as semi-AU because a few characters are not mentioned/included in my version of events, although this does *mostly* follow main story timeline as well as use direct game dialogue as appropriate.
