    Summary

Astarion has been running for centuries. Surviving in a world that wants him, and others like him dead. The modern, radicalized Gur kill monsters on site, displaying their corpses as examples.

When he finds himself in the isolated, wooded town of Moonwood Valley, starvation and desperation drive him to a decision that may change the course of his life, for better or worse.

A foreboding forest that ensnares the unwary. A folkloric "Beast" the locals speak about in fearful whispers. And a strange recluse that is far more than meets the eye.

    Summary

Astarion should have died that night. In the story we know he did exactly that. Here, things went a little differently and he is very much alive.

However, healing magic has its limitations, and the Astarion who survived is markedly different from the one that fell to the Gur's clubs.

A month into recovery, he's still coming to terms with his loss of independence. Bedbound, partially mute, and being cared for by the same person who saved him in the first place: his mother. Apparently her adventuring days didn't fully end, even after decades of playing at being a proper Upper City wife.

Even worse, soon his beloved father decides caring for Astarion is a waste of time and resources, and tries to convince his mother to send him to... somewhere, anywhere, else.

It's amazing, what you start to notice when you're forced to stop and pay attention to people not named Astarion. So many aspects of his world and family, he now sees all too clearly. Out of the one eye that still works, anyway.

    Summary

"New round here, right? Living down here in the Discards is hard enough without the shit-storm of winter and all it brings. You a Psion? I'll sell you some suppressors. Trade you for a battery. Wait - you got some food? Gave my last to that Carver Dolly for a tune-up. Hard getting room with her lately, though. Heard she's running with the rebs. Y'know. Princey's Pawns."
    ----

Doll Parts is a tale of the intertwined lives of survival in a tumultuous winter beneath a dystopian Vlaakith Empire.
Of a formerly Mastered Doll, Vanquish, now a Carver, living amongst the lowest of society in the Discard Downs.
Of a disgraced old githyanki, Voss, adjusting to civilian life after most of his spent inside prison.
Of an heir to the Empire conspiring to tear it all down from within, Orpheus, if he could just open his eyes for long enough to care.

    Summary

"I kissed you, and even the dark turned gentle for a while."

Bernadette is a 34-year-old Midwestern retail manager who just wanted a quiet Friday night with her Bath & Body Works candle, her current BG3 playthrough, and her vampire smut.

Instead, a cursed journal yanks her into Baldur’s Gate. She expects to be dead in an hour.

What she doesn’t expect is that the game lied.

Cazador Szarr isn’t the cartoon villain she spent hundreds of hours hating. He’s a traumatized Kozakuran warlock bound by a devil’s pact, quietly culling the worst of the city to buy back his soul. And Astarion? The tragic elf she romanced on every playthrough? He’s a corrupt, narcissistic libertine who built his own cage.

Now at the epicenter of Cazador’s centuries-old Faustian endgame, Bernadette has to survive a palace full of feral vampire spawn, navigate the cutthroat politics of the Upper City, and most dangerously, stop herself from falling for the very monster the game told her to destroy.
