“You know, Jason,” Tim called out, working on his homework with his back against the grave. “I’ve got a new theory about who Batman is.”
Tim paused, as if waiting for someone to ask him to go on, before he continued. “Well, not specifically who he is, but I think he’s got to be rich,” he said, tapping his pencil against his head. “His tech is always top of the line. He’s got to be rich to affod al of that without stealing it.”
“Then again, what rich guy would run around doing what he does?” Tim questioned with a laugh, pausing a moment to wait for a laugh back. He did that often, wait for a response even if he he wouldn’t get a response back.

Sometimes you have to be a monster to make sure that other monsters don't think about starting trouble. But most people don't want to be a monster. Tim does what most people don't want to do. Oni masks aren't too different in his opinion.

Tim was 9 when he was abandoned by his parents when they didn't pay his ransom. He is sold, escapes and plans a revolt. It may have involved killing the Joker and delivering pieces of him to the other rouges as a debut.

What was happening? Hades was a thousand-year-old god. He had seen empires rise and fall. He had seen humans commit acts of heroics and atrocities. He had seen Blockbuster go out of business. Nothing should faze anymore.
And yet… his son was making a valiant attempt at his sanity.
“I have no other explanation for why you have lost your ability to think and reason,” Hades told him shortly. “Are there other obvious things I should forbid while we are on the matter? Should I tell you not to bomb Olympus? Not to die?”
“I’m going to die someday.”
“Leave me,” Hades snapped at him. Unbelievable. Nico took a long intake of breath. “You don’t need to sigh at every little thing,” he added sharply. Nico paused. “Your life is not that taxing.”
“It’s not that-? I’ve been to Tartarus!”
“And what an impression it has made on you given that you are trying to return!”
Who tried to return to Tartarus? His son. That’s who. Maria was going to somehow appear and figure out how to kill a god.
Or
Nico said Hades forbade anyone from going in Tartarus and I just want to know what that conversation looked like.
