Summary
⚠️ triggering topic matter
A timeline story, stretching from 1958 to 1973, a 22 year old Ponyboy Curtis has to come to terms with repressed memories of a mysterious traumatic event. Just as he did when Johnny died, Pony still cannot face truly traumatic events. He hides from them.
Ponyboy has left Tulsa to become a journalist leaving his past and his name behind him. He is working at a prestigious international newspaper, reporting on systemic abuse in the juvenile reform system, about to break his first major expose and launch his career. But memories don't like to stay hidden.
What if Pony's penchant for denial comes with a much higher price? What if it is destroying his mind, his life, his health, and everything he's worked for?The narrative starts in Boston but finishes in Tulsa.
Mind the tags. This is a bit of a deep relationship dive into Curly and Pony's friendship. A platonic love story of sorts. Ponyboy and Curly's roots run deep. Deeper than Pony imagined. Curly may just understand Ponyboy better than he understands himself.

Summary
Ponyboy is getting back to normal after everything that happened and meets one Soc who makes a lasting impression, and another who wants to kill him for being who he is..
Some of you might consider this a bit old fashioned, a bit gentle compared to some of the angst and comfort pieces out there. It's true to the period, accurate post- canon, no ships or AU. Gasp!
S.E. Hinton owns the Outsiders.
Thank you, Suzie.

Summary
How do you go back to normal when nothing is normal? Immediate post canon. Ponyboy has to deal with the loss of his best friend, how people view him, treat him. And how to go on. Is there any way forward from here? It doesn't seem like there it.
There's still a lot of good in the world.

Summary
Ponyboy’s journey is one of quiet self-discovery, shaped by wonder, loneliness, and a deep love for music. From a young age, he sees the world differently colors in sounds, stories in silence. Music becomes his escape, his language, and eventually his dream. As he grows, he realizes just how much it means to him, not just as a passion, but as a path forward.
Determined to build a better future for himself, his brothers, and the gang, Ponyboy secretly starts performing at local bars and picking up part-time jobs to fund studio time and buy his own instruments. He hides it all from the others, afraid they wouldn’t understand or worse, that they’d laugh. But the dream grows louder than the fear.

Summary
It’s a sound you never forget, once you hear it…the sound of a tornado, right next to you. It’s enough to paralyze your body with fear.
When a tornado rips through the town of Tulsa…the gang must fight for survival.
“It’s just a storm” everyone kept saying. But they were wrong, oh they were so wrong.
It’s only been five months since the Curtises lost their parents - that family is barely holding on by a thread as is. Will everyone be able to find their way back to each other in one piece? Or will tragedy strike again - leaving these boys more broken than ever?

Summary
Dallas hadn’t spoken to his kid brother in six years. Not since he’d left New York.
If he was honest, he hadn’t really even thought about the kid. At first, it had just been too painful. But it got easier. And the farther and farther South he found himself the easier it had become to forget about Ponyboy Winston.
---
Or the AU where Ponyboy Winston is sent down to Tulsa to live with his brother Dallas. But it would only be for five months. Because Ponyboy would never forgive his brother for leaving. He and Dallas would never get along...right?

No one ever paid much mind to the good Winston kid, the quiet one. The one who stayed out of trouble, kept her nose clean and worked tirelessly to make something of herself. No one besides Darry, that is.
