Watching Trevor and Sypha fall for each other is like watching the inevitable. From the way they fight together, so seamlessly, to the way they adopt casual intimacy as though they’ve known each other for years. It’s a little like falling in love itself.
What they have is so precious, he doesn’t want to ruin it.

Summary
Trevor and Sypha return to the castle only to discover two corpses and a badly burned Alucard. Sypha and Trevor do anything they can to help Alucard repair the damage in the aftermath of devastation, but are they already too late for the reparation of his heart?
Excerpt: There was a moment where they all stared at each other, the shock and despair heavy in the air between them. Alucard looked so small, huddled at the end of the footboard, his chapped, bloody lips were trembling and when he spoke, “Are you- why are you here? What do you want?” it was a broken whisper, muffled by swollen bloodied lips.
Trevor surprised himself by speaking first. “We came back to see you.” he spoke softly and genuinely, wanting Alucard to see the truth in his words. “Hoping to find you in a better state than we’ve been in.”
“And all we want is to help you.” Sypha said just as gently, her blue eyes shining with unshed tears. “If you’ll let us.” She reached out and extended her hand as softly as she had spoken.Bookmarked by UnSparkly_Ink

Summary
Just as they start thinning the crowd, Trevor dripping with sweat and viscera and exhaustion, another wave appears and he curses loudly. Despite his failing vision, he can see Sypha faltering, can see Alucard’s unnatural paleness and the shaking in his hands. It hits him, then, like jumping into a river in the middle of winter. It chills him to the bone and makes his heart clench with an emotion he does not want to name. He fights with a renewed vigor, if only to make time.
He’s starting to lose it, lose time, lose himself to the repetition of slashing and slicing and stabbing.
Or: in which the trio is thrown backwards and, unfortunately, can't keep things a secret.

Jake doesn’t take his gaze off of the junction between the pavement of their driveway and the sidewalk, pretends that he can’t see Rooster’s eyes on him in his peripherals. It’s difficult to tell if it’s the rain blurring the sharp dividing line, or the residual wet edge in his eyes that he can’t seem to hide. Not from Bradley, not anymore. “Best get off that perch of yours and start talkin’, sweetheart. You got sixty seconds ‘fore I think the better of comin’ here in the first place.”
Jake and Bradley both know they’re forever, as obvious as breathing. When Jake proposes, Bradley desperately wants to say yes without hesitation, but he can’t. How can he tell the love of his life that they can’t have the whirlwind elopement they’ve always talked about — because Bradley’s already married to someone else?

With nothing else to do, and the growing sense that he has no idea what’s happening right now, he turns to look at the alpha again. He’s glaring through the window, watching the scene like a hawk. Hangman wouldn’t put it past him to kill Rooster the second he steps back into the hallway. He gets it, honestly. Rooster has that effect on people.

When a thrall accepts a master as their mate, the words of the vow appear permanently somewhere on the thrall’s body.
Maverick is an unbonded thrall (a submissive) in the Navy, and it's killing Iceman even though he is a young, career-focused master (a dom) with no intention of making a claim on anyone… but then Goose dies and intentions change.
A/N: In this soulmates universe, humans are designated between two statuses. Dominant people are called masters. Submissive people are called thralls. A master can lay a pair claim on a thrall wherein the master asserts their will over the thrall. The claim is achieved through the exchange of the master's vow. When a thrall accepts a master as their mate, the words of the vow appear permanently somewhere on the thrall’s body.

But his self-destructive bender gets interrupted by Charlie Blackwood, showing up to invite him to participate in a brand-new weapons development program, codename Top Gun: the first two-pilot jaegers to ever be deployed in the fight to defend humanity. That means Maverick's going to have to get back in a piloting rig again—and he's going to have to do it while drifting with another pilot. Drift compatibility means getting each other, understanding each other, on a level nobody else can beat; so whoever his partner is, at least he's not going to get stuck with the Iceman, who pretty much hates him.

Mechanical technopaths didn’t often make it to high ranks in the military. Pete knew that, and he didn’t much care. He wanted to fly the planes. He didn’t want to be an admiral or whatever. That sounded boring as hell. It turned out it was like that for every MT. Whatever machine they preferred to interface with, an MT couldn’t be happy, sometimes couldn’t survive without regular access to it.
There was another reason that MT’s didn’t make high ranks, though, something that they didn’t tell you, something that you learned on the very first day when they brought you into the Tech Pits for your intake screening and health assessment.
