What as said in the work was correct; The story painted in this work was truly the most tragic story to be. The writing of Touyascoffin is remarkable to say the least and the emotion and longing you can read within this is amazing. This was an amazing read.

He considered it as he was walking towards their meetspot. He should not only photograph Lu Guang, he should totally try drawing him, too. Paper, graphite, pen, acrylics, oilpaints, none of it worked underwater. Lu Guang had probably never seen a drawing or painting before. Maybe he could pick up some spraypaint and try his hand at graffitiing the inside of his cave. Or, he supposed he could just do that with regular paints…maybe a paint that stuck on stone? Water resistant? Oh my god, he should make a fresco—
Xiaoshi was cut off in his thoughts when he heard a melody coming from in front of him. He checked his phone, which showed three-past two. But when he looked up again, Lu Guang was in front of him. Another soft melody.[One year ago, Xiaoshi nearly drowned at sea, gaining a lifelong lung injury in the incident. In the present, he still wants to see the ocean for himself. A certain someone he meets who lives on the seafloor might allow him to pursue those dreams.]

“I’m alright on my own.” Lu Guang excused, his voice quivering with just how bad he wanted to shout. He shakily stood up, but Xiaoshi grabbed his wrist. “Let me—”
“I’m not letting you out of my sight until I know for a fact you’ve told the military to stop chasing me.”
“You have my word—”
“Fuck does your word mean to me?”
“I return to the palace in two months.” he assured him.
The grip on his hand tightened, and Cheng Xiaoshi raised their joint hands up. “Guess we’re stuck together until then.”[Qing Dynasty AU in which Lu Guang serves as the emperor but can't seem to manage it with all the stress. When he flees from the Forbidden City, he finds someone who can teach him a bit more about the world and help him adjust.]

“Don’t worry, I’ve got this,” Cheng Xiaoshi brushes him off, left hand moving to grab the gearshift by his side, pulling it back and sending them into reverse, barely moving past a slowly spinning asteroid that shifts beside them. He bites his lip, eyes travelling across the viewport, mentally calculating his next moves as he swerves around pieces of debris and pulsating waves from nearby suns.

Lu Guang is a war photographer who suffers from trauma from all the scenes he's seen in war zones, only able to helplessly watch as soldiers fall to the ground one by one in front of his eyes. A particular soldier had left a great impression on him.

Cheng Xiaoshi is on top of the world as he starts his second year as an Emergency Medicine resident, and he’s not letting anything get him down. Not even that mean, scary, Internal Medicine resident he just met.
Did he say scary? No, no, no. He’s not afraid of anything, especially not him. Medicine residents are the nerds of the hospital, and if Cheng Xiaoshi is going to be scared of something, it’s certainly not a nerd!
Even if he was intimidating. And frigid – like, ice cold. But at the same time, he’s kinda hot, right?
Nope, shut up brain! Maybe that guy was right and he is an idiot…

In this low light, he can see the way the bandages wrap around Cheng Xiaoshi’s torso, visible above the hospital-thin blanket that Cheng Xiaoshi has, characteristically, already half-kicked off.
Lu Guang’s eyes track the rise and fall of his chest. Up, down. Up, down.
He keeps doing this. He cannot seem to stop.

He evaded the bullet shot at him, now knowing Cheng Xiaoshi was about to appear in front of him. He’d take the bullet for him, he’d fight Vein off just long enough to escape with Lu Guang into the darkroom, and he’d die in his arms all over again.
Always the same.
The gun pointed at his head, and he heard Xiaoshi clap from the other side of the room.
Fuck it. If he can take a shot for me, I can take a shot for him.
Due to Lu Guang's interference, Cheng Xiaoshi survives this time, however with a fairly permanent side-effect.

Well, he’d managed to get into the most prestigious university…in Bridon.
Eight thousand kilometres away from Guidu, and he barely spoke the language. Yet he had to complete a nursing degree in English.
[Xiaoshi just left China for the first time in his life to study four years abroad. Feeling completely isolated, he's more than ecstatic to find Lu Guang, another Chinese person living in Bridon. Over the years, they prove to be inseparable and seem to be the only two to really find comfort in each other]

“I know I shouldn’t hit you, I panicked, I’m sorry. I won’t do it again. Don’t you think you’ve blown this out of proportion by now? You can’t keep running away forever. You need to come back home, it’s what’s right for you.” she continued when she saw that he’d stopped, and his face just grew more and more disgusted.
You’re not sorry, he wanted to scream. He wanted to yell at her like she did to him, he wanted to put hands on her like she’d done to him, he wanted to instill the same fear into her as she’d done to him.
But he was powerless. She was ‘sorry’. He continued walking, made his way to the kitchen, and shut the door.
[It's not as easy as Lu Guang had thought to adjust to an entirely new life, and the stress of everything happening all at once finally gets to him.]

Seeing this from the perspective of Lu Guang is so amazing to read about. The writing is spectacular. My favorite thing about this fic is that this work in the series mostly focuses on Lu Guang's relationship with his ableist and abusive mother and how their relationship affects both him and his with Cheng Xiaoshi.

Pretty cute, fluffy fic about Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang. I love seeing how reserved Lu Guang is but Cheng Xiaoshi still attempts to break his veil and attempt a friendship (and more) with Lu Guang. This fic also serves really cute bonding events with the whole crew.

“Hm, this kinda calls for a more intimate shot, right?” Xiaoshi noted as he stared at Lu Guang through the viewfinder. “Maybe if we hugged, right? I'll turn the flash off, just let the moon illuminate us."
Just hug him back, then. He nodded again, a little excited for the shot. Xiaoshi pressed a button or two on his camera and then quickly ran back over towards the railing. He held his arms open. Lu Guang wrapped his arms around Xiaoshi, turned his head inwards and shut his eyes.
Ten seconds passed, and Xiaoshi let him go again, running back towards the camera to check the picture. “Ahguang, come look, what do you think?”
Lu Guang stared at the screen. ‘Intimate’ was probably a good word to describe it. Was this really the sort of photo Xiaoshi would want to mark the start of their friendship?
[Lu Guang's been nonverbal for the past eighteen years of his life. He's used to relying on his parents for everything, but desperately wants for independence. After he meets Cheng Xiaoshi by chance and they become friends, he wonders if he can be his ticket to escaping]

One of my favorite Link Click fics ever. The way Lu Guang is portrayed as autistic is so realistic and written so well. It's was very sweet to read Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang's relationship bloom as well as the conflict with Lu Guang's parents.

Well, its less watches him miss his stop, and more Lu Guang watches as he wakes from his nap just as the train pulls away from his platform, and proceeds to look around panicked, before sighing and resigning himself to his fate of forever missing his stop.

It's a shame that kindness reads as foreign after how long he's been a target of relentless bullying.
