“What exactly do you mean?” Questioned the warrior. The uninterested, sharp tone of his words was nearly enough to cause Dedede to blow a fuse.
“You’ve had yer nose in that book all day! Hell, even now when I’m tryna talk to you ‘bout the kinda day you had, you’ve just been brushin’ me off like some kinda pest!”
“Dedede,” Meta began slowly. “I read every night. I don’t understand why tonight is any different from the other times I’ve read a book before going to sleep.”
“‘Cuz I know yer hidin’ something from me this time– I just know it!” Dedede accused with a steadily growing temper. “I can tell from that sneaky look plastered all over yer lying face!”
